Dog Day 1/23/2012

I advised Circle Star that I had 3 dogs, all rescues. I would only be leaving 2 of them I would take the other with me, the place I was staying would only allow 1 dog. I also made a point to tell them that one was aggressive and they assured me that would not be a problem. I left to go out of town feeling that the ""boys"" were going to be ok. I left a notebook with all their info in it including phone numbers, Vet trips and information on their vet. I also carried their toys and blankets. I reminded the 3 different times about my Sam and told them not to get in his cage, just feed and water him. But otherwise leave him alone. The very next morning I received a call telling me to come and get Sam, his barking had ketpt the smaller dogs awake all night, and it wasn't fair to them. I was 6 hours away and ask if they could give him some medication to calm him down. The lady on the phone stated ""No, if you don't come immediantly we will have to call the Humane Society to come and get him and have him put down, because he is aggressive and barks all the time."" My daughter and I drove all the way back and picked up Sam. The place we were staying gave us special perrmission (after much begging) to bring him because of the kennel having problems with him barking. Then after I drove all the way back to get him they charged me for his stay, which i think is not right. They were told of his problems and also given written information. And i was willing to give him something to calm him down, they were unwilling or unable to deal with a dog barking. I hope you think twice about this place if your dog is aggressive, as so many rescue dogs are. more
