When I still lived in Arlington, I used Red Top (pretty much exclusively) for all of my taxi needs. For both business and personal trips. I can't recall a single bad experience I've had with them. The drivers are normally super-nice and always willing to go out of their way. If you're not using cash, be sure to specify that you need a cab with a credit card reader.

I have never had any problems with this cab company. Even on a peak weekend bar night it has never taken more than 20-minutes for a cab to arrive at my home. The cars they supply are always clean and in perfect working order. And the best part is the drivers always know their way around the DC metro area.

I stayed there this past summer, its is an excellent hotel with decent room rates for the DC area. It's not far from the national mall, which is either a short drive, and not far from the metro which can take you to the national mall. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious.

I frequently used this hotel for business associates and guests. It is very convenient to the airport, and has a helpful staff. Easy check in and check out, a clean and comfortable facility, and excellent rates made this property one of our favorites.

The Key Bridge Marriott is located right across the Key Bridge in Arlington, Virginia. Though most of the rooms are nice, the hotel is older and I feel that most of the rooms that I've been in there are not quite up to a typical Marriott level.
There are three dining establishments in the hotel -- a pub with standard pub fare, a casual restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinne,r, and a fancy steakhouse (JW's) on the roof of the hotel which has nice views of the city. There is also a small gift shop. Near the gift shop is an indoor pool, and there is also a fitness center.
Some of the rooms have a beautiful view of Georgetown, which is directly across the river from the hotel, and others have a nice view of downtown DC. The hotel is located just outside of Washington and is about a five minute walk from the Metro. However, I do not often stay at this hotel because the area where the hotel is located is mostly taken up by office buildings and as a result there are not too many notable restaurants in the area that are open on the nights/weekends. Indeed, on the weekends the area can be quite quiet. I also have not found the staff at this hotel to be particularly helpful and as a result of these two factors try to avoid staying here when there are other options available. However, it is still a decent hotel and I would stay here again if the price is right.
PROS: Some rooms have great views
CONS: Not in a great location

Hotel prices being what they are in DC proper, it is usually more thrifty to hit the outskirts. Crystal City is right next to DC's National Airport and about 1 metro stop away from the Pentagon. This makes it a decent location if you are flying in on DC business.
This Days Inn is not fancy by any means, nor is it at the bottom of their properties. It's actually fairly decent, and somewhat better than most other Days Inn holdings. Parking is included in the room price in a secured garage adjacent to the hotel.
The staff is very friendly here. Check in is very quick, and after a three month stay here I can tell you that only once was the bill incorrect at check out, and it was taken care of rapidly. My price was $79 per night (expense account going' on or I'da haggled.)
They do have a business center which is free, but it is really only one computer and printer in a small room back by the conference rooms. The Work out room is fairly decent and usually empty. They do have a very small gift shop which is open only a few hours per day.
The rooms are spacious and clean. In fact, one of those maids is the best I've ever seen. She remembered that I needed extra sugars and creamers. Points for that. She also left the room spotless.
The restaurant was closed for renovations by the time I left, but it was horrible prior to that. Hopefully it improved with the re-working.
So, I'm going with 3 stars and saying this may not be a vacation destination hotel, but it's a fine business trip hotel.... and the price is great for this area.
PROS: Decent price, good location
CONS: Restaurant was bad

I used this taxi company when I lived near. I mainly only called when I needed transportation to and from Dulles Airport. The cars always arrived on time, when I called ahead. I never had any problems with the drivers or the cleanliness of the vehicles. The rates are standard, as expected.

Do not let the name fool you, Brooks Business Transfer does residential stuff too. I admit I had a bad experience with some movers a few years ago and when my husband said he wanted to hire some I objected. The company was referred by our realtor and they did an excellent job moving. Their quote was in line with other places, and they finished faster than they thought they would. We had nothing damaged and they did not make a mess out of anything. We packed ourselves, so they only loaded, moved and unloaded, but they were very nice to work with on the whole experience.
