I remember Sunday morning trips after Church to a neighborhood Italian bakery just like La Guli. The smells and the treats take me back. We would pick up some bread and pastries every Sunday because we were either having company or going to visit relatives. You walk in to La Guli and it takes you back. It's not just the great things to eat or the sweet smell of our favorite sweets, it""s the feeling of going back home!..........And thanks for the greatest and most creative cake I have ever had.
