How can he look in the mirror & call himself a professional? 10/22/2011

Just for kicks I looked this guy up to see what's been said about him lately, and I'm not surprised by any of the negative remarks. I too, was scammed, and I'm sorry to see that he's scammed so many others since my experience with him. I can't BELIEVE that he's permitted to continue doing business and robbing people. I was married in Sept of 2002, he made me pay the full $5100 up front by August. He showed up late the morning of our wedding and left early from the reception claiming to be sick. We got our proofs in October, I gave him my order in November, and he said that we should have everything in Feb or so. After that, he started dodging phone calls, didn't return messages or emails, and the one time I caught him on his cell phone (because I called him from a # other than my home or cell) and he said he was just running into the FedEx office and would call me back. He never did. My husband and I finally got a lawyer and after multiple letters, threats of action, etc, we got him into court in mid-2004!! He told the judge this sob story about how his father-in-law had been ill, and then died and that he was so rocked by it that he had trouble getting his act together after it. He was essentially slapped on the wrist, was told to pay us $500 for our trouble, give us our picture order and albums that we had paid for within 30 days. We got the loose prints and parent's albums several months later, as well as the $500 check, but when our attorney retrieved our big, official wedding album from him, it had NUMEROUS pictures in it that I HAD NOT ORDERED! It looked like he had just gone through the negs and ordered anything just so he could stick something in an album and get us off his back. I refused it, because these were NOT the pictures I had ordered. Believe me, I struggled with that decision after all that we'd been through already, but so many of the pictures he stuck in there were just awful/blurry/out of order and because he'd stuck all these random, crappy pictures in there, so many of the ones I had really wanted in it, were omitted. Our attorney returned the album to him along with a letter outlining what we HAD ordered and that he needed to get it right. We've never heard another word. We've given up hope that we'll ever get our wedding album, and I'm so disappointed to see that he's been able to go on scamming more people since our experience with him. Oh, and on a side note - we found out shortly after our wedding that he hadn't actually been sick the afternoon of our wedding (shocking right?!?). He left our reception and showed up at another wedding reception. Turned out he had double booked our wedding day with another couple's, and since he couldn't be in two places at one time, he sent another photographer to the other wedding till he got there. Those poor people had a FOOD PHOTOGRAPHER that came to do their wedding pictures!!!!! And when they got their album, it was wrong too, and done ENTIRELY in sepia tone. How do I know this? The other bride's mother worked in my department at the time, and we found out about each other after our co-workers started telling her about my debacle! He should be ashamed of himself doing this to all these people, and still trying to operate as a legitimate business person. He doesn't even deserve a solid star - they should offer a ""negative star"" as an option. more
