All babies that test positive for hepatitis, HIV, TB, leukemia, or have a common cold will be killed even though there are many false positive tests and even though most babies (70 percent) would otherwise keep the disease dormant and they would live a healthy, happy, full lifespan. \r
How does that sound? Archaic? Cruel? Hitler-like? \r
Well- that is what the Novato Humane Society does. \r
Do not support the Novato Humane Society. They do not believe in an animal’s inherent right to live.\r
The Novato Humane Society has a policy that kills all cats that test positive for leukemia despite the evidence that 70 percent of the cats live an entire full life without ever being ill. They are healthy, happy, and enjoy their life as they have the right to.\r
Why does the humane society think they can play God or Hitler and kill beautiful, healthy, precious beings that have a right to live their life? THEIR life. It belongs to THEM. Not to some big giant monster that holds them down and injects poison in them that kills them!\r
They claim that it is a contagious disease. Most adult cats do not get the disease because their immune system is strong enough to fight it off. And most kittens that are exposed to the virus from their mother or from another cat also fight it off. 70 PERCENT DO! They keep it dormant for full lifetimes! \r
Only when a cat is on immunosuppressants or gets ill from another cause does the disease sometimes overcome their immune system and they get ill from it. Much like humans with hepatitis C or HIV or a common cold that can result in pneumonia. Should we kill all humans that have the common cold or hepatitis C or HIV? What’s the difference?\r
Many kittens have false negative tests due to carrying their mother’s antibodies. By 4 or 5 mo. old the antibodies will clear out and they will test negative. The Novato Humane Society does care about that either. They just kill the innocent beings. \r
They will not allow anyone to rescue the kittens – they kill them behind closed doors with no option to rescue them. \r
The Novato Humane Society is anything but humane. It looks pretty and nice on the outside but behind closed doors they are killing beautiful, innocent, healthy, precious beings that have no reason to be killed.\r
