Empty restaurants don't bode well 7/7/2010

My husband and I stopped here during lunch time. One woman walked in right ahead of us, making us the only three people in the entire restaurant. The hostess/waitress was extremely rude, slamming our menus down and saying, ""you two, sit here!"" while she took the other lady to her table. My water had broccoli floating in it, and after the waitress replaced it, she became a little nicer. I got the broccoli beef (I always order this at Chinese places) and my husband got the chicken lo mein. Unbeknownst to us, both dishes came with spring rolls, and she didn't mention that when we ordered a side of them, of course ($2.95 for two 3 inch long spring rolls struck me as a rip-off considering the price of the entrees). The food came about 3 minutes later, which some people might consider a good thing, but it obiously wasn't freshly prepared and who knows how long it had been since anyone had been in the restaurant. The food was pretty good, mall-ish food, but I was expecting the portions to be large like they usually are at other Chinese places (where they charge the same price but you get much more food), so my husband and I could share, which we couldn't really do in the end. They were served just like a regular entree. Another group came in while we were eating (so about 6 people in the restaurant total), and they had to go to the front desk and tell the waitress their egg rolls were cold inside because she didn't come by and ask how the food was. We also had to go up to the counter to pay after leaving the debit card on the table for several minutes (we were sitting about 6 feet from the front desk where two people were standing). Pros: decent tasting food Cons: service, portion sizes, cleanliness more
