Bought my wedding set from Brentwood Jewelers and planned to put a beautiful 1.04 carat VVS H stone in it that my husband had purchased from another jeweler. Owner wanted to sell us a diamond from his store and gave a written price; we declined since we had a far superior diamond already. When I got my ring back from him putting our stone in it, I noticed that the stone was yellowish and we asked him about it with no results. Had my rings cleaned and checked by another jeweler last week and it is a completely different stone with chips, a 1.15 carat VS2 N stone, the same one he gave us a quote to purchase and we declined. We are in the process of filing a police report and a claim with our insurance company and have full proof that they switched the stone on us.
