Roof smelled of "Muddy Creek Water" 8/23/2009

Todd Crow was hired by Karen Hall, a local realtor to "tear off an old roof" and install new roof and decking to a house that Karen Hall bought to flip for a huge profit. Meaning she hired Todd Crow for $4600 to tear off and reroof with 20 year shingle and 12 year STA for low slope. He installed new roof and was paid by previous owner (Karen Hall) who hired Mr. Crow to replace old roof and install new roof and decking on June 25, 2008. As the new homeowner, purchashed home on July 17, 2008 after house was inspected by House Masters. My first MAJOR leak occured September 3rd. . The rust colored water was coming in approx. 15-20 different areas of my 400 square foot ceiling. At that time Mr. Crow came to my house to see the damage himself. The low slope was done so poorly that Mr. Crow himself admitted that he was at fault and he would fix the problem and fix the damage inside my den from his poorly installed rolled roof. That is when Mr. Crow informed me that when he and his crew took off the old roof that it "smelled like muddy creek water" and the old roof had layers of mold/mildew. He alerted Karen Hall, whom she had the contract with Crow Roofing to replace old roofing and install new roof and decking at the time he had torn the old roofing off and at this point she was aware of the fact as well. Pros: Admitted to his "New Roof" LEAKED!!! Cons: Hasn't paid a DIME for his POOR WORKMANSHIP! more
