I took my wife out to Joey's on a Saturday night. Needless to say I wanted to make it special. We decided to go to Joey's in Bellevue for dinner. We were asked to provide our name and telephone number. No problem. We were told we would have to wait 15 min for a table. No problem. We sat down and started talking / catching up etc. I look around and notice a ""pretty"" blond couple has sat down as well waiting for a table. No problem. A few minutes later the blond couple is asked to come into the restaurant and go to their seats. What? I signal to the hostess and she yells back to me ""You guys are next"". OK. But why did the other couple get in sooner? A few more minutes go by and we are asked to go to our table. As we walk up the Hostess says ""I am so sorry it took so long"". As soon as we get there we notice that the ""pretty"" blond couple is siting and ordering their food - at a larger booth while we have been seated in a smaller booth. Why? Even though there are two larger booths open next to the window. I look at my wife and we both decide Sorry Joey's - your approach to us was not fair - we are East Indian. We decide to leave before ordering - and as we do - I tell the hostess that it wasn't fair for her to seat the other couple first. She starts to argue with me saying that the other couple had been waitlisted?!? As we walk out another hostess follows says saying that ""Joey's will give us a gift certificate if we come back.""
