I'm not quite sure why there are so many bad reviews of Eva's Bridal on here, but I hope that I don't have to find out! I went here this past weekend with my mom. I was having trouble finding the wedding dress that I wanted (at least in my price range anyway), after frequently some of the better stores in Chicago, decided to try coming out to a few of the stores in this area. We ran late from our previous appointment, but they let us move our appointment back, which was nice of them. The store is not fancy but I wouldn't say that the conditions were anything to notably complain about either. My consultant, Dalia, was amazing! She was so nice, she was really a treat to work with. I tried on a few dresses, some of which were eh, and a couple that I really liked, until I found ""the one"". She did not have any problem telling us the designer of each dress, so I'm not sure what the ""no info"" reviews were about (I know they wouldn't tell us designers at Kasia's, but they were also nice there too). But I was still torn between that one, and another one I had seen at Macys, and we were going back to Macys the next day.
On the drive home, I kept thinking about the dress. I called Dalia and said would it be okay if we come back in on Monday to see it again? She said that she had been thinking about me (so cute, lol!), and that normally she is not working that day, but she would come in just for me! I have to say that I was impressed. After trying on the other dress at Macys on Sunday (and having a less than great experience w/ some accessory trunk show people practically attacking me!!), we went back to Evas on Monday. As soon as Dalia started lacing up the dress on me, I knew it was the one! I was so excited!
My mom and I decided that we would order the dress from there. Once we said that, she said we could take pictures (to send to my friends, dad, etc), she helped set me up in all these different positions and angles, it was really cute. They say it takes up to 6 months to come in, which is fine b/c my wedding is in 1 year. Alterations were a MAX of $300 (whereas I was quoted $500-750 at Macys - pretty much just for a bustle, nothing else!) So far, my experience w/ Eva's has been good. I just hope that I don't end up having to edit this review later, after hearing so many bad things on here!
