I've lived in the Mitchell Lofts for a year. The place has steadily decayed during that time. Dogs run riot over the entire building (I'm convinced that everyone but myself has at least one dog) crapping and shedding over everything. My car has gotten broken into three times, thugs are being allowed to lease and the management is incompetent. I received an erroneous eviction notice on a Friday in March and was told I had three days to leave before the Marshall was called in! I called the front office, the main office and nobody ever got back to me. The problem just disappeared after a while but no one ever explained the problem to me. The pool is unusable thanks to dogs swimming in it. I don't mind people partying and making noise, so I won't say anything about that -- after all, I suppose if I wanted to live in a quiet community I'd get out of Deep Ellum.
