Seeker BEWARE 8/5/2008

I recently was excited over a program being offered and advertised by The Crossings as follows: Program Fee: $350.00. When I went to the Register site, the statement said Package Fee includes lodging, amenities, etc. First heads-up: the Package Fee and Program Fee are not related. As a public speaker, author, trainer and consultant I'm pretty savvy about different fee structures, and an advertised fee IMPLIES there is SOME mechanism for actually receiving the service for the stated price. Not so here! When I called to determine the fee to JUST ATTEND THE WORKSHOP I was informed there is no way to attend for the advertised fee of $350. To attend the workshop there is an ADDED fee called - get this - a COMMUTER FEE of $110 whether or not you plan to avail yourself of the hot-tub, trails, sauna, etc. Turns out there is NO WAY to attend under any circumstance for the advertised Program Fee of $350. The REAL price for this $350 Program is $460. Feels like a come-on and wreaks of misrepresentation and untruthful advertising. For a business whose bread-and-butter is programs about spiritual awakening, authenticity and peace - I expect more honesty. Seeker beware! My attempts to e-mail any of the individuals listed for management or marketing on multiple websites resulted in returned mail on all counts. Also, not a good sign when there's no one to handle feedback. more
