I began my relationship with The Cure while picking up prescriptions for my mother, who has senile dementia and is in assisted living, more than a year ago. The staff has been unfailingly interested, kind, professional and flexible from the very beginning. You really feel as though they care about each and every personal drama they encounter over the course of a day. The Euro-ambiance helps pass the time while you wait for your scripts (never more than 15 minutes, even less if you call ahead -- and they also deliver) and the array of hard-to-find cosmetics, fragrances and homeopathic remedies makes you wish this intimate cubby-hole of a shop had more wall space. Forget Duane Reade -- if you are looking for personalized service from sentient beings who even remember your name between visits, The Cure is for you!
