Don't be fooled by the nice building. This place is just awful. I would recommend going to any other salon if you have a special event or need special treatment.\r

I took two kids (ages 15 and 5) here for up-dos for a wedding. One was the flower girl, the other was doing a reading. After calling days in advance to talk through the styles and to let the salon know about my time schedule, I arrived to find them running 30 minutes late and the stylist was annoyed to be doing children's hair. \r

I have seen every salon - from the highest end NY salon to the lowest end strip mall. Everything is forgivable if they do a good job on hair. This place was terrible. The stylist did such a bad job on the teenager (caked with hair spray, teased up 5 inches high, no discernable plan to where the hair was stuck) that she was sobbing and we had to try to rip it out 15 minutes before the wedding. The little one's lovely golden hair looked like someone was trying out their curling iron for the first time - stiff, hairsprayed curling iron marks that hadn't even been combed out....think ethnic urban tacky (she should have had her name in gold script on a necklace to match the hair). On top of it all, the stylist was rude and nasty to the girls.\r

This was recommended to us by the Bluffton Inn, where the wedding was held. Overall I could not have imagined a bigger disaster and only hope the wedding pictures aren't ruined forever by this catastrophe.\r

The bride had very good luck with a local salon called the House of Color.
Pros: Receptionist was pleasant.
Cons: Stylist was horrible and rude.
