Obviously jools68 has never been to a headshop - EVERY one I have been to in the United States has a no return policy to protect the store owners from liability. Next time I suggest that they don't smoke before going shopping for a pipe and buy what they intended to buy. The employee shouldn't have offered a discount to such a bonehead, but it was nice of them to do so.\r

As for Cooper's itself, I haven't been there in years but would recommend it for the average smoker - there's nothing too special but definitely a good selection of glass.
Pros: Good selection
Cons: No highly-artisanal pieces, but almost nowhere does.
