I just made my second appointment with Ward. The first time I went to him was the first time in Portland I have been totally happy with the cut I was given. He listened. He knew how to cut naturally curly hair, which, it seems, throws most hairdressers. I have gotten cuts that looked lifeless and sometimes just plain strange from hairdressers whose own hair was straight or those who were recommended by friends with stick-straight hair. It took me a while to figure out you have to search for someone who's able to work for you and not some higher concept of their own. Ward is the first I've found. And I am 54 years-old.
