Buyer beware!! 7/14/2007

Because of all the glowing reviews, I decided to take a chance and book an appointment at this salon. For a cut and color, I was quoted a fee of $140 over the phone. Although I thought this was a bit spendy, I figured it might be worth it. To my utter dismay, I was actually charged $180. To make matters worse, despite giving the stylist explicit instructions on how I wanted my hair cut, the results were nowhere near what I?d asked for. Where I wanted layers, there were none. Where I wanted length, my hair was shortened. What layers I did get aren?t even blended. As a result, my hair is very short at the top and long and straight at the back and sides. Kind of weird. Although two people have told me that they like my hair color, it?s also not what I?d asked for. Because my hair had become very blonde from a succession of highlighting weaves, I wanted to return it to light brown with sunny blonde highlights. As I?d indicated, I wanted that ?kissed by the sun? look. I ended up with brown hair that has little if any highlights. In her attempt to give me what I asked for, the stylist simply applied brown dye to my hair after weaving out a few tiny strands of the existing blonde. For this I was charged $140 (plus $40 for cut)? Are they kidding?? If you want to pay big $$$ for mediocre to substandard work, this is the salon for you. Otherwise, stay away. Pros: Ample parking Cons: Poor value for the $$$ more
