worst mani pedi ever 7/10/2007

I've been driving past this place for over a year and thought it looked like it could be cheesy yet fun from the decor. Went in for a mani-pedi. I have had far better experiences for half the price. First off, they barely pumiced my feet - literally did two scrub strokes on my heel and little on the bottom. Lasted less than 30 seconds per foot. There was no leg massage of any kind whatsoever, just the rubbing of some lotion - barely. As for the manicure, it was worse. every mani i have ever had has lasted a week before a chip appears and this one barely lasted 4 days, not to mention the polish wasn't even put on evenly. the first coat got my entire nail, the second didn't and it was noticeable. the woman didn't ask me how i wanted my nails filed or if the shape she filed was ok and to my liking. i could have said something but at this point i wanted to just go with it and see what the end result would be. the shape wasn't terrible, but not what i would have asked for. and there was no hand massage to speak of either. my husband joined me on this little excursion and had a mani pedi as well sans the polish. we didn't talk to each other too much during the experience or make eye contact - we weren't facing each other. the door barely closed behind us when i said to him "that's the last time i go there" and he said "really? i thought it was just me!" so consider this two people saying "worst mani pedi ever!" the atmosphere was, well, nothing to speak of. horrible music when they finally turned some on. not exactly friendly or welcoming, but neither were they nasty either. the woman that did my nails was older and pleasant enough. i will not be going back to this place. Pros: none Cons: Terrible mani pedi - no hand or foot massages more
