See 5th Avenue Formal Wear 5/18/2007

The rental experience for my son was a pleasant one for the most part, that is until he went to return his tuxedo. He had planned on returning it after his girlfriend got off work on the Monday after the his Prom. The purported owner of the store called our home around 5 pm Monday asking, in a not very friendly tone, that he get it back by the end of the day. My wife called our son and told him to get the Tuxedo back to the store immediately and he did just that, he had to make two trips as the shoes were left home but the transaction was complete by 6:30pm. The store closed at 8:00 pm. My son mentioned later that the owner took $10 of the $20 security deposit. We were concerned but not surprised as many times things are misunderstood by a less than thorough reading of the terms of agreement. I thought I had read and did not recall a prorated schedule for the time the rental was returned. Wwe put it on the back burner with the intention of getting to the bottom of it by the end of the week. My wife dug up the receipts to check the specifics of the contract. She found that the rental was supposed to be returned by close of Business on Monday no metnion of a specific time or schedule for proration. We obviously found that curious and my wife called about the discrepancy. \r The ""owner"" immediately became defensive about his actions and stated my son returned the rental on Tuesday. This is either an outright lie or a delusional fabrication. It was indeed Monday. The ""owner"" was never professional in his reaction to our concern and even less than civil. My suggestion to everyone would be to avoid doing business with a man who steals money from teens with no regard towards his stated terms on the agreements he uses for his transactions. The amount of money represented here would never be worth my integrity. I find it unfathomable it is all this man's word is worth.\r Cons: Dirty Store more
