My NEGATIVE experience was with Yvonne. During my consultation, I brought in photos to show her the haircolor I desired (going from dark brown to a medium brown all-over color with honey brown highlights). I told her I need to look professional for my job, and I did not want 1990's "skunk stripes" that are perfectly symmetrical all over my head. She assured me during my consultation that she could do it. SHE LIED!
I waited for 20 minutes before yvonne even greeted me for my appointment and I was her first of the day. Then, she takes me on a "tour" of the salon. Why? Because the clientele are expected pay to dry and style their own hair. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
After 30 minutes in Yvonne's chair, she announced it was time to shampoo the color out. After I dried my hair, I was not happy at all because the end result was MY ORIGINAL DARK ALL-OVER COLOR WITH BRIGHT YELLOW, ORANGE and RONALD MCDONALD RED SKUNK STRIPES. I specifically told her NO SKUNK STRIPES! AND WHERE DID SHE GET THE IDEA THAT I WANTED TO HAVE BRIGHT ORANGE, YELLOW AND RED IN MY HAIR! It wasn't even close to what I asked for and what she told me she could do. To top it all off, when I expressed my discontent with the results, she gave me MAJOR ATTITUDE about it and then argued with me. She then huffily told her assistant to put some other type of solution on my head and deal with it.
After all this, nothing changed. Yvonne never checked on me again. I paid at the front desk and left. Fortunately, a friend of mine, who said I looked like "Rainbow Bright" during my tearfest has a friend at another Aveda Concept salon who not only corrected the color free of charge, but it was EVERYTHING I ASKED YVONNE TO DO! Avalon Salon worked miracles that day! Should have gone there but didn't know about them.
Yvonne should have had the class to inform me that she doesn't know what she's doing, and more importantly, her customer service skills STINK! Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!
Pros: Parking
