I needed numerous brake parts for a vehicle - some were in stock and some were not. I was referred to another store of theirs because the other items were available there.\r

When I arrived, the store claimed they had never spoken with the original store, didn't have the parts, and nobody should have been referred because "we don't work with other stores".\r

Then, as it turns out, the manager stepped out and said "I took that call - I just forgot to put the parts aside. They're gone now. We just sold them."\r

Not a good experience considering that my vehicle was nearly undriveable at the time - and this was the only store within miles that had my parts.
PROS: Lots of stores to cross-check for parts
CONS: Failures to communicate on the individual's level
