De Medici is a very romantic and ambiance rich restaurant. The service is good and the price is not too expensive. but the food is sub-par. If you are going to adopt the name De Medici then you had better step to the plate in quality and authenticity. If you remember from Art History, De Medici was a very rich family that financed the Italian Renissance. They are responsible for many great sculptures and art work. However the restaurant is only good for looks, not substance. The food is far from authentic. The Alfredo sauce is made with SOUR CREAM. The chicken and Cappers is made with bottled lemon juice. The cesear dressing is made from kraft, mine was not made table side. Maybe i have more offence with them taking the name De Medici when the restaurant is all hype. Their food is more southern Californian Italian than historic Italian. Over all if you are looking to impress your date: great place.
Pros: Lighting, Location, Service
Cons: Food authenticity
