I had been to Sing Sing at least 3 times in the past year, each time bringing my own alcohol...it was fine those times although the staff were much less than friendly. This last time we follow same procedure, get a room with our beer and in comes a horrible little man telling us we cannot have beer and that they have NEVER allowed you to bring in beer...well if you read the description here on Citysearch even they say BYOB but this man was just adament and I even tried to tell him we'd pay him for OUR beer and he said no...well of course we left but people be warned before you go...it's not BYO!
