It was a treat when my Dad brought home Charlie's hamburgers wrapped in their little wax paper bags, usually on a Friday night after he finished his second shift at Boeing in Morton. I'm now living in Bucks County, but my husband is also a Charlie's fan. We drive down once or twice a summer. Nobody mentioned it, but is Charlie's still closed from the last weekend in October to the last weekend in April?
Oh yes, I remember skipping class to go to Scotty's in Springfield too, but Charlie's is better.

Anyway, you don't need fries and onion rings - Charlie's is like the ""Cheeburger, Cheeburger"" place from Saturday Night Live. They know what they do best, and they stick to it.
