We recently got stuck in a snowstorm driving through New Mexico. The closest town was Grants and we were fortunate enough to get a room at the Best Western Inn and Suites. The poor staff was completely caught off guard by the unexpected swarm of people seeking shelter from the storm, but they worked hard to accomodate everyone the best that they could. Our room was perfect: a king-sized bed with a fold-out sofa sleeper for the kids. It was clean and warm, which is all that we asked for.
The restaurant was overwhelmed, as they didn't have the staff to deal with that many hungry people, but the wait staff did their best and we finally did get a meal, although it was two hours after we ordered it.
I would like to thank the staff of the Best Western in Grants for making what could have been a catastrophe a pleasant experience.
