There is a stigma surrounding community colleges, but I beg people to look farther. Montgomery County Community College, or MCCC, offers a high-standards education at a fraction of the normal price.
There are two campuses available. The main one is nestled in a beautiful patch of land in Blue Bell. The campus is large and nice to walk around. Selection of majors to choose from is vast - everything from Auto Mechanics to Nanofabrication. You can find whatever you want here. The classes are just as diverse, you can make your own schedule work. Take day, afternoon, night, or weekend classes. From 1 hour to all day long. It's up to you!
In addition to the class selection, there is a thriving student community with over 50 clubs and activites to choose from. Pick something that you are interested in or a club that will further your education. College is what you make of it!
I think this is an excellent option for people to try before continuing on towards their bachelor's degree. You will save a ton of money and get just as good, if not better than education than you will elsewhere. Try MCCC! Go to www.mc3.edu for more information!
