If you are considering adopting a pet, I would highly recommend visiting Save a Pet in Port Jefferson Station. They have a wonderful selection of cats, kittens, dogs and puppies in need of loving homes. You can feel good knowing you rescued a homeless pet (instead of supporting puppymills by purchasing at a pet store). Save a Pet Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill facility. You can see available pets on www.petfinder.com. You will most likely find the pet you really want.
