One thing about this site that I cant stand is that it always seems to attract people that feel that their opinions mean to much. I very rarely visit this site because of all the trash talking that goes on. My wife and I frequent this establishment often and I'm hear to say that this is a great little Bistro. We have always been pleased with everything that we have had and still come every week. Their 1/2 price peel and eat shrimp on Tuesdays, and 1/2 price crab legs and 1/2 price oyster pecks on Thursdays are a real treat for us. They always have drink and food specials everyday. We really enjoy their southwestern egg rolls also. We also love their brunch on Sundays. I dont like going to chain restaurants because I feel that they are just cooking with microwaves. I love trying little mom and pop places and this bistro is that. I usually try to keep my mouth quiet but after reading some of the comments above, I felt obligated to make review about Blue Fins Bistro. We know the owners very well and the lady behind the bar is the manager and wife to be of the owner David Berent. ( Im really impressed that real estate agents have the knowledge of how to retrieve info on the owner online, but maybe a little more time selling houses and less time on company time trying to complain about yesterdays lunch might make your boss happy) To sum up everyone has a bad day and fortunately for us we have not been there on a bad day. Keep up the good work guys!!!!!
Pros: Great specials, food and drink. Friendly service
Cons: none

It's funny to see comments going so far into the year when the restaurant was closed back in March. Yet the owner was rude in June of 2007- are you sure you were in the right restaurant???

Shucker's is always good for an enjoyable time. The oysters are always good, and I've often found pearls. Be prepared to get messy. The atmosphere is casual, and if you go at night there's often music and a sand pit to dance!! The price is reasonable, as well! A great place to take the family, although it is a bar, so it can get smokey.

I really can't say enough good things about this place. I have been coming here at least weekly for about 7 years. I love Las Margaritas!!! It is a small place, so if you want to go on a busy night call ahead or just wait outside - you can browse the little garden across the street. The food is always excelent, and the staff is so friendly. They know my family and what we usually order. They even remember that my 5 yr old daughter loves to eat the guacamole! They've now started making her a small alcohol-free banana margarita - just for her! I really love Las Margaritas!

I love this place. They have a great variety of specialty teas, ranging from chamomile to Earl Grey, and the atmosphere is simply charming. They have a large antique trunk filled with beautiful Victorian hats that you can wear during your tea if you want to have an authentic 19th century experience. You will feel as if you are in England, with fragrant roses on every table, and soft classical music playing. The food, while good, comes in small portions, so it may not fill you up. Even so, it is a delicious, calming place to visit and get away from the generic chain restaurants that surround it in Wake Forest. Be sure to go downstairs and check out their gift shop, too. Lots of beautiful antiques and local art.

I lived in this place as a teenager, and loved it. I've been back frequently as an adult, as well. It's one of the few places in downtown Wake Forest that has survived through the years. The food is greasy, but good. The hotdogs are awesome! The owner and employees are friendly with the customers. There are pool tables in the back to play pool for quarters. I don't recommend it as a kid-friendly place, as it can get smokey. But if you're looking for a dive-like little place with good food and nice staff, I recommend checking this place out.

When I first walked into Olde English Tea Room, I was immediately in love with the ambiance and atmosphere. The day I went was a cold and rainy day and I immediately felt warm as soon as I was in the door! The wait was a little longer than I would have liked, but it was Friday at lunch and we had not made reservations. The service we received when we were finally seated was excellent! I will definitely be returning!!

Don't be fooled by the outside - it's in the basement of a building. But it is amazing and authentic Mexican food! The service is always quick and friendly. The food has always been wonderful every time we've gone. The only drawback is that when there is live music - it can be a bit loud if you are with someone who speaks softly, but I'm sure they would give you a different table if asked!
Pros: service, price
Cons: none!

I love Italian food and could eat it almost every night of the week. I have my favorites around town, and this has become one of them. The atmosphere is fun and service is good, but the food is SO SO yummy! I've had their pizza and stromboli...both super. My DH has had their meatball sub and loved it! We haven't tried their pasta yet, but if it's as good as their other food, I'm sure we wouldn't be disappointed!
Pros: atmosphere and delicious food
