this bar reminds me of new york, it's a dark place with beautiful wood decor. During the week, Coda acts as a sports bar/ lounge, it's a nice casual place for locals to have a couple of drinks and participate in engaging conversation. the weekends are usually packed and turns more "clubby"- they have djs and dancing. the vibe here is always great and it's a fun spot to have birthday parties.
Pros: Music, drinks, and a great place to have a party, locals don't have to go over the hill to have fun

My extended family has been going to Barone's for 50 years, 20 years for me. I always have their antipasto salad and pizza. Only a couple of pizza places in New Haven, CT can beat Barone's. With the old location you always wondered if it would be replaced by a high rise, so I'm glad they found a new place. The service is fine, and has not changed despite what other reviewers said. I had an entree once and it wasn't as memorable as the pizza.
Never having lived in LA, Barone's is always a detour on a road trip, but manage to get there three times a year. Lucky are those that live closer.
Pros: Great pizza and salad
Cons: Entrees not up to the pizza

We've been eating at Lido's for a very long time, it's the only place I'll order lasagna because it's so very close to the way my grandmother use to make it. Took all my new in-laws there one night for dinner along with a couple from England who were visiting & everybody loved it. The homemade pasta, the rolls, the pizza is just the best anywhere in this valley!

This is by far the best place for chicken around! I love the garlic paste that comes with it. Parking is hard to find sometimes, and seating because it's busy usually. But with great food like this, that wont' hurt the wallet -- well worth it! I loved that they added kebabs to the menu now...can't wait to try that!

definitely one of the best, if not the best barbeque I've ever had. It's a bit out of the way for me to get there, living in Ktown but, I still find myself going back over and over. If ambience and a fancy atmosphere is what you're looking for, go somewhere else. If good food and good service is what you want, definitely try it out.

My friend's mother used to do Irish dance performances at this place when she was a kid; that's how long its been around! Comfortable atmosphere, incredibly friendly and experienced staff, and some great Irish beers and whiskeys. Live music almost every night, and incredible fish n chips round this place out for me. Crowded but not uncomfortable on Fri and Sat nights, and full of old Irish lads and 20's college students, this is an awesome, relaxed mixing of people and backgrounds. The only strange times were karaoke nights (check website for schedule), but they're not really for me anyway.

Happened to be across the street at Home Depot and decided to check out this neighborhood place. Like stepping back to the days before all the restaurants were taken over by the big chains! I had a delicious cheeseburger that tasted like I had made it at home. As opposed to Islands where it cost me almost 9.00 for the burger (and it came with nothing and I mean nothing), and then an additional 3+ dolllars for a side of fries...here the burger (for the same price) came with a choice of a side...fries, cole slaw, fruit...whatever I wanted. Also tasted much much better! We will definitely be back...had a super high cake in their dessert case that looked sinful! Heard people talking that they do Karoke there a few nights a week and its a lot of fun.
Pros: Good food. Good value
