Lillian's is an excellent Day Spa located right off of South State street near Safeway. They have estesticians, nail technicians and hair stylists. But, since they are a day spa - they are a little more expensive, especially for nails. So I do not recommend getting your nails done here unless you want to pay $30+ everytime. I went to their estetician Melissa and she is wonderful. I had my eyebrows waxed and they were not red or puffy at all when I left, it looked as though I had nothing done. Try them out, I would definitely recommend appointments though, don't just walk in.

I drove up to this location at approximatley 2am, feeling desperate because I had reservations at another location but wasn't able to find it. The woman behind the counter was super-helpful, called the other location and was able to transfer my reservation for the evening. So, plus on the customer service.
The accomodations were just what I payed for-- small, reasonably clean room with rough sheets and a hard matress.
I've also heard that Motel 6 will do a background check with the police when you check-in... so it makes me feel somewhat safe to stay there as the guy next door will be arrested if he's got a warrant out on him, but it really feels just too much of an invasion of my privacy for my 60 buck a night room.
PROS: Cheap, easy find from freeway
CONS: Background checks upon check-in

Truly the worst experience in my life...ruined our entire trip to California.
Originally booked online for a 2 night stay. Got there as planned was given room 116...well I was afraid to even sit on the desk chair...the room door looked like it had been broken into many times, in the bathroom there was a ball of hair on the back of the toilet, and the lid of the toilet seat looked like it had poop stain that was cleaned but not completely. The room looked like a hourly rental instead of a nightly one. Garbage on the floor including smashed candy, an old rub off lottery ticket and a salt package. When we complained we were given two new keys to 2 other rooms to check out. Room 112's key didn't work which didn't really matter since that room was only 2 doors down from the former room and probably on the same scale...but the other room key for 225 worked and was clean and not horrible...so since it was late we stayed...we had reservations in San Francisco to go to Alcatraz at 11am the next morning so off we went...after Alcatraz we stopped for something to eat and that's when the phone calls started from the hotel saying we left our luggage there...well yes we were booked for 2 nights. But they said we weren't. So I told them to leave my stuff right were it was and we would be there in an hour or so. I showed the clerk proof of our reservation and he tried to offer us a free room for the night...But at that point I wouldn't stay in that dump if they PAID ME...We had to cancel reservations we had for dinner and the rest of our plans for the evening. We just decided to go home. I personally will never stay in a Quality Inn again. I should of stuck with Best Westerns, or paid the extra money to stay in a better hotel in the City. I guess it is true you get what you pay for! So please beware. This place will ruin your vacation.
