Great Vet: I have been going to this great doctor and his helpers for years & they are the best by far in the area and beyond!! We use to live local on the Peninsula but recently moved so we drive almost 1hour to continue to use this vet service. Awesome, loving and extremely competent. This is a great guy with an incredible brain taking care of animals out of pure love. I would highly recommend Newport Veterinary Hospital to everyone who has a pet. Everyone there we have encountered is kind, professional and make you feel that your pet is in good hands!

Through the years I have met many veterinarians, but never one as compassionate as Dr. Cohen. I have been taking my two chihuahuas to him for going on 2 years and in December 2008, I had to put my 13 year old to sleep. Dr. Cohen and his staff were very caring and this made the difference for me. Susie was with me for almost 13 years and she was the best friend that anyone could ever have. I miss her, but know that she was in good hands with Dr. Jeff Cohen.

My family and I have used the services of this hospital many, many times. From trips to the emergancy room, a death, and a birth. Each and everytime we were treated with caring and respect. The staff are both professional and personable, and the facility is clean and well managed. Most importantly, we feel SAFE being treated at Hoag. The birth of my last child at Hoag was the best birthing experience I could have hoped for. Thanks Hoag, for years of faithful service.
Pros: Staff treats patients like guests.
Cons: None. I have never had a bad experience.

A friend just completed their program and I am very impressed with teh results. She had gotten in with a few of the wrong crowd and was letting life slip away. Her family convinced her to go and after a relapse and re-admittance she finally made a real change for the better. It is good to have a friend back.

We are still paying hundreds of dollars for our childs ear infection diagnoses that took 10 minutes.
They overbilled, we called, they agreed that it was a mistake. Now we are getting additional "fees" and "adjustments". I wish I had never gone to them. STAY AWAY.
Pros: Hours
Cons: Expensive and terrible service. Billing department is still inventing new costs 2 months later.
