Like the General Stores of olden days, Greenwood Pets and Plants has a little bit of everything. From actual live pets to garden accessories, you can find almost anything you can imagine here. The thing I like best about it is that the staff is very knowledgeable about the products, and they will steer you in the right direction if you aren't sure what you need. We had a problem with goldfish dying right away a few years ago, but they took care of it promptly and professionally. I would definitely recommend them.

Sandy's has a knowledgeable staff and well stocked locations. If you're bringing in a heavy machine they'll send someone right out to the car to get it for you. Helpful advice is always available.

Personally owned furniture stores are hard to come by these days especially with places like Art Van and Gardner White monopolizing the market with inexpensive but inferior quality merchandise. This store is a great place to get away from the hassle of shopping at a place that only cares about bottom lines and getting you to buy not how satisfied you are with your purchase. This store has a friendly staff and is a great destination and alternative to other places.

This place is one of the best in town for vacuum parts, bags and belts. They also do repairs and servicing in-house very reasonably. They also stock a good selection of vacuum cleaners - at great prices. The staff are very approachable and always keen to help - this place knows how to keep their customers happy!

If your home is an older home like mine that we had built in 1963, your counter tops are probably looking pretty dull.
Even with all the scrubbing, I cant get them to shine. We have looked into the new granite tops that everyone is talking about and the Granite Tops Inc store is a very good place to get ideas.
Take a ride out to their showroom and see what a difference it can make in your home to replace the counter tops in the kitchen or bathrooms. Also good for bars.

If you're looking at brewing your own beer, this is the one stop shop for you. Great selection and all the supplies you will ever need to brew your own beer. They offer all the advice and instructions you could ever need which makes it a lot easier becuase it can be a hard task without the right supplies and the right help! This store recently moved (It used to be by the Blockbuster on 8-mile), but it is a larger location and is a must stop for any of those first-time brewers out there.
