Frying Pan Park is fun for all ages. They have alot of things to see and do. There's Kidwell Farm shows you what it was like to live on a Dairy farm back in the 20's to 50's. There's all kind of things to see and animals to pet. You can even go on a wagon ride or a hay ride. There's even a country store that sells a variety of items as well as hosts the Farmers Market that is open on Wednesdays from May to October. It's a great place to buy local fresh produce and other items.

Mostly Indian DVDs and CDs and rentals here but they certainly have quite a selection. They carry a pretty large selection of DVD rental movies from quite a few Indian languages ( Both North and South Indian). Also a good selection of Dvds of Soap operas running on Indian and Pakistani TV channels. The rental price is reasonable .They have a membership card and maintain records and very strict with late returns and fees. From time to time they have very good sales of Dvds and Cds and one can get a good bargain on choice movies if one is a collector for them.

Haines Paving is a wonderful paving company because they are honest, hard working, and do an excellent job. How do I know?? Well, I was a home inspector of three years and got to know the vicissitudes of getting things done for ones home. Many paving companies simply do not care!! and many builders don't either - putting in driveways that are a touch above spraying painting a wide black strip on your yard and announcing they have just paved the driveway. Many new homes end up with driveways that really don't last a year. Mr. Gary Haines builds them correctly!! He put a long driveway (300 ft.) for me in 1989 or so - it was the first paving that had been done on the property. Today it looks as good as it did the day he put it in - no cracks, no spider web cracking, no puddles, and not broken paving. He repaired the parking lot of a small church I help at on as a facility manager - again, there when he said he would be, pointed out to me why the parking lot needed repairs (because the orignal contractor did not build it to the standards of a commercial lot - about 50% less gravel that needed and about 60% less asphalt. Recently, he put in a new driveway for me where he encouraged me to remove the entire old driveway because it had been paved twice before and was falling completely apart (it was initially put in in 1982) because he felt another layer of asphalt would simply not last laid on top of such an unstable base. Again, he was there on time - was extraordinarily helpful in helping right some wrongs with the previous driveway that he accomplished without charging additional money. As far as I can tell he used way more asphalt (thicker), tamped the edges as I requested ,and did the entire job in nearly 100 degree weather in two days and left everything cleaned up and looking very, very good. It was not cheap for more that 600 feet of driveway - and I suspect he will not be the cheapest contractor for you. I would say you are doing yourself no favor to put too much credence in a cheapest bidder unless you are there to measure the gravel and asphalt to ensure you are getting the proper thickness and proper bed for the drive. I strongly recommend Haines Paving (703) 471-7600 in Herndon Virginia. I have NO connection with Mr. Haines or his company - but am delighted with his work and his attitude.

I recently spent some time in Virginia with some family who live there and was introduced to Vocelli's pizza. I was really impressed! I've eaten more than my fair share of pizza in my day, and I can honestly say that this place is a cut above. If you're tired of Papa John's and PIzza Hut (and happen to live in the Herndon area) give Vocelli's a try!

I took my car here for an oil change because I ran out of coupons for my regular place. It was around $15 for the job, and I could not find a better price elsewhere. It took a bit to get things started off, because I dropped my car off early, so few employees were on duty. Well, it turns out it was a good thing I brought my car here, because the last place that did my oil change put the filter on incorrectly, and my engine had leaked nearly 4 quarts (out of five) of oil. They communicated well with me about the situation, and they did the job right!

I absolutely love Five Guys Hamburgers & Fries! I love that I can get all my favorite toppings free (the only charge extra for bacon and cheese). My favorites are the grilled onions and mushrooms! The french fries are cut from whole potatoes with the skin on and you can get them Cajun or regular (I always go for the spicy!) My kids love it too since they get to shell peanuts while we wait for our food.

We have been to both locations and love them. The food is superb - and there is so much you will have dinner for several nights. The atmosphere is nice without being overdone and good for a date or a family outing. Generally though there is a wait -- particularly on the weekends. We love the new location in Springfield (Burke area) -- although the parking at the new location is not as plentiful as the Herndon location.

Thai Luang is a very good restaurant that offers thai cuisine. The palce is designed traditionally and is very clean too. The service at the restaurant is very good. And the food is awesome. I think its one of the best places to visit on saturday evening with friends or family.
