I had an issue with a refurbished Westinghouse LCD TV I'd purchased online back in July '07. After getting cable I realized my TV had something wrong with it as no video was showing and there was a "This Channel Blocked" message. I called Westinghouse directly and they were great but could only offer phone numbers to repair shops in the area since I was out of warranty. I called ABT first and though they told me right off that they couldn't work on my TV since I didn't buy it there, they researched the owners manual while I was one the phone, asked me set-up question on my cable box and came up with a work-around that allowed my cable come through without the blockage message! I was so thankful for their help, I signed up on CitySearch just to write this review!

Best prices (even match internet), knowledgeable sales people (who aren't teenagers) unlike the other chain competition. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Chicagoland or even online. I've bought thousands of dollars of appliances and electronics there including an Apple Imac, Canon HDTV Camcorder, Frigidaire Front Load Washer and Dryer. 100% Satisfaction on every purchase. I work in retail and know good service when I see it and Abt continues to deliver. 3 Generations of my family have shopped Abt when they were in Chicago, Niles, Glenview (Waukegan Rd), and today (Milwaukee Ave).

A visit to The Lamp Shader is well worth the drive. This unique and darling boutique houses more lampshades than one can imagine. Classic and contemporary -- whimsical and practical. They can even custom create a shade for that perfect lamp. What is most impressive about this shop is the attention to detail and the owners vast knowledge of lighting. What will bring me back time and time again is the customer service and care that is given to each customer whether they are buying a lamp .. a shade .. or even just a finial to top off that perfect look.

Dry cleaners are on every corner, yet after I moved, I continued to take my dry cleaning here. It is a small, family owned dry cleaning business. When I walk in, they know my name, and have me entered in the computer before I make it the short distance to the counter. Their turn-around is reasonable, but will accommodate special needs if something is needed extra quick. They do alterations/repairs on site, so you know the person who is taking care of your clothing. I highly recommend Grace Cleaners.

well, there are not too many things to say about a gas station. But here - I always found the cheapest gas in Glenview, and the coffee is not so bad. A nice place to get gas and a snack to go in the morning.

I did a really stupid thing and locked myself out recently. They got there faster then predicted (under an hour. predicted: an hour) and it would have been sooner if they weren't out on another call. You fill out a paper for IL to prove you really live there and I was charged $95. Apparently my door was a little hard, but after he oiled the lock, it opened fine. I would use them again and give their number to others.
