Angie's is a great little hole-in-the-wall restaurant that has both Mexican and Italian food, but I have yet to try the Italian because I can't seem to want to order anything but the Sour Cream Burrito (with shredded beef--yum!) After moving here from Southern California, my husband and I have been searching for mexican food that is similar to what we are used to--Angie's seems to have what we have been looking for. My husband is almost as impressed as I am, except that he's used to a wide selection of mexican food, and Angie's is a little bit limited with the mexican menu so that they can make room for the italian, as well. From what I've seen there are only booths, so I don't think that a party of more than 6 or so would even work in the restaurant. Also, each time we've gone the service has been very good & friendly.
Pros: Sour Cream Burrito (with shredded beef)
Cons: Seems to only have booth seating

This is a really nice breakfast place. It is in historic downtown Castle Rock and even has a bullet hole in the gorgeous antique tray ceiling from a shootout in the olden days. The service is always good and their coffee is yummy. It can get really crowded on weekend mornings but besides that you should be able to find a seat easily. I haven't tried anything except their breakfasts so I can't speak to the lunch menu but the breakfast is great (if a little greasy which I like). A warning, they don't take credit cards and I'm not sure about checks. Bring cash.
PROS: Good food
CONS: Don't take credit cards

El Meson has very good green chile. They have a courteous staff, and good service overall. I love that they bring chips and salsa out to your table as soon as you arrive. I consider their restaurant, and Tacos y Mariscos to be one of the top Mexican restaurants in Castle Rock.

My husband and I like to get out, sometimes just for appetizers and a good ole mug of beer! We discovered recently that they have wings, my husband likes buffalo style wings, but I don't. Low and behold, they have teriyaki wings that are awesome. When we are in the mood for actual dinner, we love their meals, my favorite being the tacos that they actualy make the shells, my husband likes their enchilada platter. I would say the only drawback, is that there is smoking allowed on the patio. If you can put up with the biker bar atmosphere, the food is great!
Pros: Great food, lots of choices, home town feel
Cons: smoking allowed on the patio, bar like atmosphere
