If you are looking for something to do on a Saturday, or weekday evening, even for lunch, go to the Bat Cade. This place is great & offers something for everyone.
First they have several batting cages, offering softballs and hardballs at different mileage speeds. Get a helmet, gloves, and a bat just for your size! Rent for a few minutes or an hour, groups rates, too!
Inside is a full arcade, great for any ages, and something those to do that dont want to hang out at the cages. And if you dont want to do that, then stop at their pizza counter and grab a drink and go sit outside to watch your loved one at practice batting.
To top it off, you can have a birthday party or a party just because.
I have gone to the cages on my lunch break and batted a few balls while wating for my lunch to cook. Not only was it fun, I got some exercise in, too!
PROS: Variety of things to do, sitting area, refreshments, shade
CONS: The cages sometimes get crowded

Baron California Hats has every kind of hat that you'll ever lay eyes on. Their selection is outstanding. My friend (a cowboy) loves this store for his fittings and brings me along every time. I couldn't believe that so many cowboy hats even existed. Their service is impeccable, making this one Burbank shop that you wouldn't want to miss out on.

Central Casting is one of the only reputable casting agencies in town-- Casting for most of the major Television Shows, and occasionally feature films. There's a $20 registation fee, but you can be working the day after you register. The process is simple-- you go in, fill out the forms, they take your picture (for new actors you don't even need headshots), and then you call in the hotline the day before you want to work. It's one of the best ways to get onto a set as a new actor, or if you're retired, or just to make spare money. I highly reccomend it and suggest you go no where else.

Flair cleaners are awesome! I absolutely love them! they have locations in Santa Monica, Valencia, Burbank, and a few others. I've been to all of them and absolutely love the way they turn out. They're always so crisp and clean. They have very quick turn around time and are very customer service friendly! A+ for this cleaners!

I have to say the staff and I beleive owners were some of the friendliest people I have ever met. Not only were their suggestions thoughtful and professional. The also do great work wtih the community. Definitely would recommend to others.

I found the school to be very orderly and clean. The teachers were very nice and informative re. the curriculum. Also, the children seemed very sweet and happy to be there! It was also nice and cool with the air conditioning on in hundred degree heat!!!

The YMCA of Burbank is a very great place to work out that's not overly crowded like most gyms and is very easily and centrally located near Downtown Burbank and near the Burbank Town Center. If you're not into those huge commercial gyms that are always packed, this is the place to go! The monthly fees are between $30-40, so it's not too shabby a deal! Check it out!
