Stavroula (Stacy) can be found downstairs from Dellaria Hair Salon. She provides excellent skin care from facials to waxing, also mani and pedicures. Her pricing can't be beat and her service is extraordinary and generous. Perhaps this is because her overhead is somewhat lower than a freestanding salon. After seeing Stavroula, I always feel pampered and well cared for. Highly recommended!

Brookline has been blessed with yet another top-notch restaurant. This time, it is a Harvard St. version of Pomodoro from the North End, both of which are owned by Siobhan Carew who is also behind Matt Murphy's. It's next door to the Village Fish (which apparently sold half of their space).
Everything was spectacular: the service, the breads, the appetizers, the entree, the dessert, even the room. While we eat a lot of fish, we're not usually "whole fish" ordering people -- something about staring at your dinner -- but the whole grilled fish here was so delicate and flavorful that it was stunning.
The flavors were so amazing that with regards to the ginger carrot soup as well as the whole fish, people at (different) neighboring tables were heard commenting on how blown away they were after tasting these dishes.
Looking for an excuse to go back soon! They are open until 11pm but they don't take credit cards (and oddly they don't serve decaf).

Why do people wear sports gear, or band shirts? Pride? Maybe to break the ice? I'm not sure, but this place is like a giant icebreaker. If you're meeting up with someone you don't know very well, or haven't seen in a while, the clubhouse has a bunch of TVs with a bunch of sporting events going on. You can pretend you're interested in the game to get out of conversation, or maybe even use it as a way to start one. There's not much to this place, and the sports hero mural at the entrance, I think, symbolizes that. The barkeeps and wait staff are nice, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed.
