TERRIBLE! 1/31/2009

We recently visited this restaurant with another couple for dim sum. The service..terrible. The waiters...rude and perverted! My girlfriend sat across from me and after wondering why the waiter was hovering over her back, I realized he was looking down her blouse! Idiot. I made a comment and I think his English was so poor that he didnt' understand. The food was bad too. The goal of this restaurant seemed to be get them in, get them out. More you jam in, the better. Again..AWFUL experience. The take out that is in the food court for this restaurant isn't any better. If you don't speak chinese, don't be suprised if you are overlooked and those customers who do speak the language will be serviced first. I stood their in line while 6 other customers who came up to the counter was serviced before me! Lousy service, or should I say...NON-existant service! Wouldn't recommend this place to the anyone. Wouldn't be suprised if they lose customers to Hop Li down the street from them as their service is way superior. Cons: Poor service, Rude waiters, dim sum too greasy more

Would never go back even if paid to eat there 11/1/2008

Was totally disappointed by the food and service. Ordered lobster and was told it was 4 pounds but what came out of the kitchen could not have weighed that much and was missing the claws. Was told that some lobsters don't have claws. This was news to me as I have never seen a lobster in other restaurants or at supermarkets not having at least one claw. Secondly, I ordered a whole chicken and was told that they had run out of chickens and this was at 7PM. This is surprising given that they are in the same strip mall as a 99 Ranch Market and could have gotten one if they really ran low. Third, in the kung pao chicken, there were tiny bones in the meat which was a first for me at any restaurant ordering this dish. Finally, the beef and scallions dish had really no taste despite the tenderness of the beef which I have been told is result of restaurants using baking soda to make the meat really tender at the price of losing the beef taste. If I could have, I would have sent all the dishes back to the kitchen to be redone. The only decent dish there was the complimentary pickled cabbage which probably came out of a jar or can so couldn't have been messed up by the chef or help staff. Don't even think about trying this place, it is just not worth the price and there are better ones in the SGV. Pros: Parking Cons: Lousy food more

unpleasant customer services ever! 8/9/2008

Today I went to tea with one of my friend. She was there first and she've gotten a table, when i stepped into the restaurant, there was a flat short hair girl being VERY rude and impolitely ask how many seat do i want. I already told her that my friend is there for waiting. She seemed ""yell ?at me? as I am the customer, I don't deserve to treat like this. With this kind of attidues, she was definitely decreasing the restaurant's economic. Well, I think it is partly the owner's fault that he or she does not know how to train the employees to well treat the customer that lead to this kind of happening. I swear to god, this is the worse restaurant i have ever been to. All the waitress in the restaurant does not have pleasant working attitudes. NOt only the flat short hair auntie that's in the front. Especially the Manager of the restaurant, looks like everyone owes him or something, no smile at all. Pros: services Cons: attitudes more

One word: awful 7/12/2008

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to, period. The dim sum was awful, the service was awful and the atmosphere was awful. PLEASE save your money and go somewhere else. I cannot fathom how this place has managed to stay in business given the absolute garbage they are trying to pass off as dim sum or the service which was non-existent. This was the first and last time I'll ever set foot in that S-hole again. Please ignore any other reviews saying anything to the contrary. OK, I'm done, carry on. Cons: food, service, atmosphere more

Below average 4/18/2008

The service is below average. In addition, if you plan to use your credit card to pay for your meal, you MUST carefully check your statement. I was billed for more than I signed for. What happened? I signed a credit card slip with the tips included. The following day, the restaurant charged me again for the amount of the tips. This appeared on my credit card statement as a separate transaction. I only authorized a single transaction when I paid for the meal (food and tips) the day before. However, the restaurant decided to use my credit card NUMBER(since they do not have the credit card anymore) to obtain additional credit the following day. Using my credit card WITHOUT my authorization for the second time is considered fraudulent activity. So, WATCH OUT. more

Never had a bad experience. 5/3/2006

I've been frequenting this restaurant for years, and yesterday (October 5, 2008) enjoyed a wonderful dim sum breakfast with friends and family. After reading the most recent user reviews posted here about this restaurant, I felt I needed to rewrite my review from 2006. I don't know what dim sum restaurants these last few reviewers frequent, but I have to say I have never had such a negative experience here to warrant such bad reviews. Yesterday, we enjoyed delicious steamed pork dumplings, Chinese ""tamales"" called jun, char siu bao, shrimp har gow, shrimp chow fun, fried hom gok, turnip cakes, roast pork, char siu, and several other items. My mother, who is Chinese, thoroughly enjoyed herself. My mother-in-law, as German as can be, enjoyed trying new flavors and enjoyed everything except one dish. My picky husband and niece had their fill of bao and siu mai. The service was fast, courteous and polite. Our water glasses were rarely empty, as were our tea pots. The dim sum servers were always accommodating...to the point where they would go to the kitchen to get items we specifically requested. Granted, some of the servers were a little difficult to communicate with, as I don't speak Cantonese, but we seemed to do just fine. Yesterday, we arrived around 9:30am and the restaurant was 1/2 full already. By the time we left around 11:00am there several groups waiting for tables inside and outside the restaurant. I would definitely recommend arriving no later than 10:30am...10:00am if you're a large group, as we were. Again, I have to say that we have never had a negative experience at Full House in Arcadia. I recommend it to friends all the time. Pros: lots of parking Cons: can be crowded on Sundays for dim sum more

Above average dim sum 6/22/2005

First of all, the restaurant is very tight on space. The tables are placed close to each other and there is only enough space for the carts to stroll through. The dim sum is great however. I love their shrimp dumpling, steamed pork buns, and lotus sesame balls. The wait can be lengthy during peak hours, which is during weekend brunch. Pros: Food Cons: Parking, Crowded more
