We had a table 7 came in early, when the food finally came several dishes were cold.. \r When the server brought the check he was unwilling to split it up so we could pay with separate cards. despite having checked with the front when we arrived.\r Had to go to management to get this done so we could settle up and leave. Won't ever step foot into this place again....not worth the aggravation. Pros: clean atmosphere Cons: poor service more

Great Choice 6/15/2009

We chose Zola's for a monthly neighborhood dinner outing without having previously visted. We were pleasantly surprised with the Food, Prices and the Service. We called ahead for a group of 12 and our table was waiting for our arrival. We had cocktails served within 5 minutes of being seated (Smart move for our group). From appetizers to dessert every plate was cleaned, all in all an excellent experinece and we will return. Ask for Rico Pros: Food, Price, Service Cons: Short Menu more

Best Italian restaurant north of Atlanta! 9/21/2008

This place is a gem, and what makes it even more enjoyable is that it's not on a main highway or in a busy plaza.\r \r *Everything* was excellent, starting with the service, moving the atmosphere and peaking with the food. Our waiter was exceptionally professional, very patient and very attentive. The food was absolutely magnificent! In our party of 5, every single one of us couldn't stop gushing about the taste and presentation. \r \r After we finished our scrumptuous desserts (you absolutely have to try the Italian chocolate ice cream!) the manager was extremely friendly and stopped by to chat with us for a few minutes.\r \r We cannot wait to go back to Zola! Pros: Exceptional food, great service, awesome value for your buck Cons: It's not open on Sundays and not open for lunch more

Best Italian in the Atlanta Area! 8/18/2008

We dined at Zola and loved it! The light from the beautiful hand blown glass fixtures cast an intimate glow on the walls and set a scene for a relaxing evening of attentive service and personal attention. The owner himself was greeting guests that ranged from families with small babies to couples. The different dining areas, including the large outdoor patio, allow you to find a spot that is perfectly suited to your evening.\r \r Besides the exquisite decor, you're sure to also notice the impressive selection of wines along the wall behind the bar. I'm far from an aficionado when it comes to wine, but they seemed to have a wide selection to fit any palate or budget. We chose a refreshing pinot grigio and at only $25/bottle, it was affordable as well as a perfect accompaniment to our meal.\r \r The menu covers the basics as far as Italian goes with maybe the exception of lasagna. There are some pizzas on the menu, but this place is far from your typical italian or pizza joint. We opted to try a couple of different appetizers and salads and then split an entree of chicken parm. \r The spinach artichoke dip and bruschetta that we started with were both prepared from the freshest ingredients and served piping hot. However, I think I enjoyed my salad the most! Every leaf of the spinach salad was perfectly coated with a dressing that came alive in your mouth. There were walnuts and a creamy goat cheese mixed in and overall the salad was hands down the best I've ever had!\r \r Once our entree of chicken parm came we were nearly full, but we managed to indulge one last time and were not disappointed. The chicken was moist and the sauce was full of flavor. It was served with a side of angel hair that cooked just right.\r \r Overall, the atmosphere, food and service at Zola make it hands down the best Italian I've ever had in Atlanta. The mood and menu are that of a popular midtown eatery, but the personal attention instantly makes you feel at home.\r Pros: ambience, personal service, variety on the menu, wine selection, mutliple dining areas, large patio Cons: I cant think of one single thing I would change! more

Best darn Italian food in Georgia 8/21/2007

Growing up in a large Italian NY family has exposed me to some of the best food on the planet. Since I moved to Atlanta I never thought I'd be able to experience that same homemade goodness until I found Zola's. (Sorry Momma) I was first introduced to this restaurant through my Sicilian born boss, who dines there at least 3 nights a week, and I have been hooked ever since! On a typical night, we start out with a glass of wine from their comprehensive wine list, and then move into a delicious appetizer. My personal favorite is the Olive Tapenade. There is never a shortage of freshness or variety, as specials change frequently due to the seasonality of ingredients. Of course, the core menu is rock solid and has never disappointed.\r \r The only negative, if there is one, is that they only serve beer and wine due to the limitations on their liquor license, but with a wine list like that who needs liquor! more

HOMEMADE EVERYTHING PUTS THIS ITALIAN BISTRO ON THE MUST GO LIST! 7/23/2007

We simply love Zola Italian Bistro. We discovered it several years ago and have been going ever since! Adrianno and his staff serve up homemade italian dishes. We personally love to start with a glass of delicious red wine from the extensive wine list. (BTW: Silver Oak goes great with pizza!) The Bruschetta\r is a fav as well as Bread & Olive Tapenade. The Zola salad with honey mustard is fantastic! The pizza's are fired in the brick oven and taste amazing. The nightly specials always please. An old favorite Beef Medallions is tender, juicy and mouthwatering. Adrianno loves desserts and you will too with a wide assortment of homemeade specialties. The new private dining room with warm plush curtains is the perfect setting for a large party. Plus, the wine wall is filled with inviting finds! We live in Buckhead and Zola is worth the drive. Manja!! Pros: Homemade italian in a single family restaurant with personalized attention Cons: not closer to town! more
