Listen i had a great experience at Z Auto Sound, Ferris, Kevin and Ed all where helpful and sold me what I wanted, never felt pressured. I had a show quality system put in my truck and haven't had a problem since. All the people complaining about time don't get it, it takes time for quality installs you want your car back in an hour with a crappy install go to Best Buy. The best part is that I know if there is a problem they will handle it. When I was there there were losers bringing in garbage crap they bought on the internet to have them install, these are the cheap skate losers that complain more

I showed up after hours, and the door was locked, they let me in as soon as they saw me, and took the time to show and explain to me different options to upgrade my stock car radio and speakers, Set me up with a appointment for installation the next day, they were quick, clean and professional, I am very happy with my new Alpine system, Many thanks to Big Mike and Staff! more

I searched for a year trying to find a place to buy car audio and waqs about ready to give up when i found z auto sound iun orange, These guys are with out a doubt the best ive ever came across,,, there whole team is real and there service is real, im telling you it was worth every penney , my system is awesome,, you see im an oldschool guy, they combined my vintage amps with some new technology , well a/d/s never sounded so good ,mike ferris are great and once they pass the ball to ed, joe , and eric,,,YOUR SYSTEM WILL BUMP AND BUMP RIGHT!!!!!!!!!! than ks for everythin guys your the best,,,,finaly a place that listens to the custumer more

So I never write reviews and didn't even have a citysearch account until today, but felt compelled to write a good review for these guys. After calling about a half dozen or so shops to find someone to install by complicated Pioneer AVIC system along with a backup cams, I came across these guys. After working out a fair price, I felt assured these guys would be more than capable of doing not just a good, but also ""clean"" installation of the unit. And they did! Unfortunately, the unit they put in was faulty (I bought it off eBay). Not only did they take it out for free, they went so far to speak with the Pioneer rep about the defective part of the unit and helped me get a brand-new unit. They also installed the unit again for free, doing anything in their power to make me (a very annoyed customer at this point) happy and relieved. I can't recommend these guys enough. And one other thing. I took a look at Al & Ed's across the street... these guys were super sleazy and it became apparent in just minutes that they were going to do anything they could to get as much out of me as possible. I guess that's what happens when you go to the bigger chains. more

Everywhere we went we kept getting the run around because our sound system was so old...these guys not only took the time to figure out what the problem was, they actualy fixed our sound rather than trying to sell us in to something new like everyone else had tried to do! I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO WORK WITH AN HONEST GROUP OF GUYS. more

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE WAY MY CAR CAME OUT. THIS IS MY FIRST NEW CAR AND I WANTED TO PUT A SYSTEM WITH MY TAX MONEY. I WENT IN TO Z AUTOSOUND CAUSE MY BUDDIES HAD GOT THEIR CARS DONE THERE. THE GUYS THERE WERE VERY COOL AND EASY TO TALK TO. THEY EXPLAINED WHAT I NEEDED FOR MY SYSTEM AND EVEN TALKED MY OUT OF SPENDING MORE ON AND EQ THAT I REALLY DIDNT NEED. MOST PLACES WOULD TRY AND SELL YOU MORE RATHER THEN LESS. THAT NIGHT I PICKED UP MY CAR AND WAS AMAZED AT THE SOUND. THEY TOOK THE TIME TO SHOW ME HOW IT WORKED AND I WAS IMPRESSED. Hey guys, im usually not the type to write a review but after seeing all these reviews i had to let everyone know that Z Autosound has worked on all of my vehicles over the past 5 years. All of my experiences have been a great one. They are hands down the most competitive and have great installation. i can remember this one time my amp went out on me and they replaced it with a brand new one on the spot. I have always been taken care of and so have the friends ive refferred to them. So i give them 2 thumbs up. Donna more

AT ALL COSTS AVOID THIS PLACE.... I was hesitant to bring my new car here from past experiences and the bad word of mouth you hear from anyone else. The audio shop across the street was closed so I went here on impulse. I just got an amp installed to my stock radio. They said it would only take 90 minutes. They kept giving me the run around. Every 30 minutes they would say, ""Only 15 more minutes bro."" Finally, I got my car back 6 hours later only to find out the rear passenger speaker was not hooked up, The fade and balance was backwards (which can blow your speakers), my Parrot (hands free bluetooth) is completely broken, additional scratches added to my car from poor service, they also smoked cigs in/around my car and now it smells bad, they also left a mess inside my car (did not clean up after themselves.) They were closing and told me to come back the next day to have it finely tuned by the head audio manager. I went back the next day and they told me it would only take a couple hours. Again, 6 hours later: They finally fixed the balance/fade. Parrot is still broken and supposedly my fault as they ""did not touch it"", even though its directly connected to the radio. Front passenger tweeter is not grounded properly and massive amounts of static pours out of it any time the radio is on. The system sounds worse than it did before I brought it in. They sold me amp I did not need as my car comes stock with a better amp. They wanted me to pay to have my Parrot fixed even though they broke it. They wanted me to come back a 3rd day just so they could fix what they broke. I am now heading to another shop to pay more money just to have them undo EVERYTHING Z Auto Sound installed. I have now lost $450, 20 hours of time over a period of 3 days. A broken Parrot, Scratches on my rear bumper, Horrid smell in my car, and a mess to clean up. They will try and hustle you and sell you crap you dont need. Make sure to check your receipts before paying them. They will always try to sneak additional fees on you. The crap they sell you is overpriced and they do a ghetto job. Do your own research, they have negative reviews everywhere. Shop elsewhere and you will be much happier!! more

Hrmm.... Says something when you find reviews that only have 1 and 5 star ratings. Big time gamble, and I lost. Maybe they didn't like me. I could write a book about my experience but it all comes down to what I'm trying to tell you right now... ""It's not worth it..."" I will say that about the fifth time I took my car back to get things fixed I caught the guys smoking weed out back. Not that I have a problem with that in itself!!! But when they're working on your $40,000 ride and they ""f"" it up. Yeah, now we have problems. I will say that they've been perfectly apologetic and willing to fix the problems... Things that were not even related to the installation... yes that's right they admittedly messed up OTHER parts of my car... Ohhh Z Auto Sound. Why ME... more

I was refered there by a friend saying they hook you up so i went to check it out. they gave me a good deal on a head unit said id fit perfectly in my car. i went home to install it with my buddies and the stuff didnt fit, i call them a couple days later cause i made it work and they say oh i cant give u your money back only store credit. they do a horrible job installing stuff and a horrible job on giving u the right thing and have to many hidden policys they dont tell you about. WORSE PLACE TO GO TO DO NOT GO THERE!!! more

I had a serious problem (or at least I thought it was serious) with the audio system in my Toyota. I visted numerous audio shops and I spent alot of money trying to get it fixed. Then I was refferred to ZAUTOSOUND by TOYOTA of ORANGE. My problem was fixed at a much more reasonable price and time than I expected. Pros: Great service, best at what they do, Cons: They are always busy! more

Terrible customer service and they cheat you. I came in to get two 6x9 Alpine SD speakers installed in my civic. I bought them from a friend and so they had been rolling around in my trunk for a few months so i wanted to make sure they were still working. So i asked the manager to test them before installing them. He said no problem and so I came back 2 hours later only for him to tell me that the one of the speakers is blown out. I trust him... BIGGEST MISTAKE... and so i buy a new set of rockford fosgate 6x9 speakers (which were worse than the ones i brought in) and then pay him for installation. ONLY TO FIND OUT MONTHS LATER when I had the chance to test them both that both of the Alpine 6x9 speakers worked PERFECTLY, no rips, no tears in the seams... nothing. He ripped me off, made me wait twice as long as I should have, and made me buy a worse set of speakers so he could get an extra $60... ridiculous. Don't make the same mistake I did. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Pros: Absolutely none Cons: They lie and cheat to get ahead. more

Let me recommend this store to the shopper with any car stereo need, helping staff, great products, reasonable prices, quality work which is very important to me. I had been shopping for a navigation with bluetooth , I went to several stores and got many quotes, every one was giving me the run around, till I asked my buddy and he recommended Z Autosound, so now I'm doing the same. At the end I was very pleased with they're service, they explained every thing I needed to know before leaving they're shop. Pros: better prices and great installation Cons: can't think of one more

Horrible service, and they Lie! I left my car with Brian all day because they say they give a life time warranty on installs and he didn't even look at it! He just said the speaker was bad without even testing it. I took it home to find out the real problem and found that they hadn't even installed the tweeters I gave them to install and I was able to fix the original problem by simply tightening a screw on the Amp. Something these ""professionals"" could have figured out in minutes. This family run biz is a great place to get ripped off at. My installation was done very half-ass, not as bad as the duct tape story, but instead of using brackets, they used glue! When I took the dash off and looked for myself, it looked very sloppy and quickly fashioned together. And what ticked me the most is that they specifically told me and charged me for new brackets to install the stereo. But when I checked for myself, there were no new brackets. I wish I could say these guys are running an honest business, but this leads me to believe otherwise. Pros: nice guys when they're making a sale Cons: sloppy work, deceitful business practices more

Every vehicle I own (6) has been serviced by Z Auto and I reccomend them to everyone I know who needs car stereo work done. Every one of them has been pleased with the service as well. Pros: Great Values, Great Staff Cons: They can be busy more

Z Autosound has worked on 4 of my cars in the last 6 years, from in dash navigation upgrades to massive custom subwoofer installs. They tinted all my cars, they put underglow lights on all my cars and they built everything custom in each car. They are a talented group of guys. The most impressive part is the cost! They will do their best to make as little as possible in each sale, getting you the best price. I paid another local shop twice as much and was not happy with the time or the work. Pros: Cost, Time (same day service in some cases), Quality Cons: Busy most of the time. more

I am not the kind of guy to write a review because I feel like I dont have time...but after see Z's get bashed above I had to speak. I went to Z's to get a old amp and sub installed in my new car. I left with a new touch screen deck ( by my choice) amp and sub. No pressure from sales...I just knew it was my time. The install came out perfect. What I didn't expect to see was a wallet in the glove box. more

UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I had a similar experience. They lie on your face. Can't write anything more and I don't have time to deal with these cheaters. Avoid them. Pay some more money and get the job done right in a professional manner somewhere else. more
