Good: Instructors are friendly, the academy is very involved in tournaments, there are additional activities aside from TKD such as picnics, potlucks, camping, etc.. Bad: The owner boasts his 7th degree blackbelt but has not been out to observe or teach a class in over 2 years. There is no structure to the classes, all levels attend all classes and therefore too much time is spent with the lower belts and the higher belts are neglected. There is a lot of preferential treatment for a crowd of students and all the rest are ignored, and regardless of their performance, as long as you pay the test fee, your kids advance to the next level regardless of skill.. Improvements: more structure or should I say some structure since there is none at this time. Every parent pays the huge tuition fees, all kids should be given the same training.. Other: if I could go back in time, I would not have committed my child at this school for more than 6 months (since that's the first six months is the only time students get attention), though it is one of the better ones that I have checked out, there are too many shortcomings to justify the hefty tuition..
