Thank God, there's a sushi restaurant that rocks! We have been waiting for a long time for RA to come to Torrance. If you want great sushi, drinks, service and atmosphere go to RA in the Del Amo Fashion Square. Their unique rolls kept me entertained with an impressive bite every time. I have a soft spot for Sake and their own personal brand is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone who has a craving for sushi and fun.
Pros: Great Patio

Flossie's is a hidden find in every sense of the word - it's definitely hidden, a simple, unassuming storefront sitting in a generic strip mall - and it's definitely a find.
I live far away, but have made the drive many a time to get some of their tasty food. From the various sides and desserts to the perfectly cooked chicken, I have never had a bad meal there and doubt I ever will.
This is true soul cooking at its best. I've found several places in the area that come close to Flossie's, but none have ever been able to top it, and for that reason, I still make the drive.
Pros: Definitely the food
Cons: Unusual hours, seating not always available

Via Firenze is a jewel of a restaurant hidden away in a little strip mall behind Carl's Jr on Anza & Torrance Blvd. I actually attended at wedding and reception here, and it was beautiful.. They rented out the whole restaurant and it was very fun and food it Delicious! I have since become a very satisfied patron of Via Firenze. I recommend the Rigatoni del Prato. It has shrimp in it and it is so good! The prices are great for the wonderful quality of food!

For the most part, this is a great place for people who want to have a great beer and some food in a fun atmosphere (the music rocks!) but without the rowdy stuff that happens at the wild nightclubs. Seems mostly like a 30s crowd and older and a somewhat mellow feel (wear your jeans!). You can even take the kids since a huge part of this establishment is a restaurant. Food is great but don't go if you are on a diet. Servers are fun and friendly. Football is awesome here (and I hate football!!) plus they have yummy tri-tip sandwiches. Happy hour is great. If you want a rowdy crowd, go on St. Patricks Day or a Saturday night when the crazies come out!
Think that covers it!
Pros: great music, food, happy hour
Cons: parking can be a pain since it is by a movie theatre
