It Ain't Over Till This Is Over
Now that it's June, NBA fans will have to wait months for Iverson's next scowl or Shaq's next foul line brick. But for local hoops fans, the good times aren't done. The Worthington Summer League begins its 20th season this month, featuring the area's best high school, college and pro players.

and ex-Bucks too. All current OSU players are league members and three of the incoming freshmen will play for DSW Shoe Warehouse. But there's also a slew of former heroes like Perry Carter (TeleNet), George Reese (Cordray Orthodontics) and Scoonie Penn (player-coach for Buckeye Corner).
Supporting Cast
Among the pro players scheduled to appear are Central Ohio's own Calvin Booth and Gary Trent. However, the league's biggest name in 2001 is Scottie Pippen, who's on the TeleNet roster. Admittedly, these guys won't be in midseason form and the play will be ragged. Still, it's NBA talent at CYO prices.
