Nice but a bit pricier than it's worth 9/30/2009

Food is good, and the service is good, but not good enough to spend 1/2 weeks pay on one meal. If someone else is paying though, it's a treat. Pros: Excellant service Cons: Prices are too high to make it enjoyable more

Great Prime Rib 1/7/2009

Great Food, Wait staff was friendly, and service was prompt. Great chioces on the desert tray. I would recommend all of you try this place. Pros: Good Atmosphere, Friendly Staff more

Do go late! 1/11/2008

Food all seemed fine however if the place is not packed and your still dining they are likely to ask you to leave. At 11:00pm during the holidays the manager came by our table and said ""ladies it is time"" Wow!!\r Well I guess thats the last time we dine here. Pros: Big menu Cons: Terrible service more

Amazing even without reservations! 11/28/2007

I can't say enough that is good about this place. The first time we went was 2 years ago on my birthday. Of course we did not have reservations but even though they told us it would be about a 45 minute wait if we waited 20 I would be surprised. The steak was by far the best I have ever had (blue cheese crusted fillet!!!) Since then we have been back a number of times and have had a great experience every time. I would recommend it to ANYONE who is looking for something new and different. The only minor complaint I had one time was that we were seated in the bar area which was fine except because of where we were located (1st booth around the corner) and how crowded the lobby can get, we had people leaning on our booth as we were trying to enjoy the meal. If there was some way to put up a bit of a wall there to not have that intrusion that would be great. All in all, this place is a must go! Pros: Atmosphere, Parking, Location, Friendly and knowledgeable service Cons: That one booth in the bar that is right off the lobby more

Awesome steaks, not so great service 2/17/2007

My fiance took me here for Valentine's Day with reservations. We arrived 10 minutes before our reserved time and were seated within 10 minutes, so that worked out perfectly. The ""take-out"" line was about 20 people long, though, which made for a very crowded lobby. Our server was ok, I've had better service. We never got any bread/butter that all of the other tables got with their meals, but we figured we didn't need it anyways. I ordered a chocolate martini, which was great and my fiance ordered an Ameretto Sour - which was 3/4 ice. I had the plain filet minon which was broiled to perfection - it was one of the best steaks I've had and my fiance had the bone-in rib-eye which he was quite pleased with as well. We both ordered the mashed potatoes - which are very addicting - to go along with our steaks and we each had a dessert, which were ok, but could have been better. Overall I thought the atmosphere and food were very good, but the wait staff/servers need to be trained better. Pros: Food, ambience Cons: Parking, waitstaff, price more

The Best Dinner in years 3/18/2006

We went there for our 6th wedding anniversary, and wow! We had NY Strip and shrimp special. I had blue cheese crust, and my husband the horseradish crust. I liked the blue cheese better..... Everything was excellent. The salad, the steaks were cooked perfectly, and so very good. This beat Ruth Chris by far. more

Excellent Food and Service! 8/9/2005

This is my all time favorite restaurant. I have been eating at Wildfire frequently since it's opening in October 2002. The service is amazing and the food is just as great! The chicken chopped salad is my absolute favorite anywhere. The steaks are amazing and cooked to perfection, I prefer the bearnaise crust. Macadamia nut crusted halibut is excellent as well. The restaurant is very well staffed and you will never run out of drinks or have any extra dishes on your table. The Ellington Room booths are the best seats in the house, but all the tables and rooms are special in thier own way. The desserts here are some of the best I've ever had, they are all homemade and beautifully presented. I recommend everyone experience Wildfire at least once! Pros: Great service, Amazing food more

The best steak EVER!! 6/6/2005

I long to go back to Minneapolis just so I can eat here! The food was incredible from the salad to the sides. Pros: great food Cons: a bit crowded more

Average. 3/12/2005

To begin, the restaurant is located in a large mall. So, they have a lot to make up for with atmosphere. The ambiance was nice but not extraordinary. We sat in a small side room, the Savoy Room. Perhaps, the larger main room would be more interesting. The service was exceptional and on par with any top restaurant. The food, however, was average. My halibut was dry. The chopped salad was swimming in dressing. Pros: great service, great menu selection Cons: average food, located in a mall more

Good but not great 9/29/2004

Overall I enjoyed this restaurant, however Wildfire is definately a step below the Manny's / Capital Grille type restaurants. I ordered the steak and lobster. The steak was very good and cooked exactly the way I wanted it (Medium). The lobster tail was smaller and more expensive than expected. Our waitor disappeared on us for 15 minutes after we finished our meal, as we were planning to catch a movie after dinner. I was very suprised when I asked for a side of bernaise and was told that they don't have that, even one of their menu steak items has a crusted bernaise topping. Very weird. I would go back though. Pros: Atmosphere, Food more

I've been to Wildfire on 5 special occasions, never dissappointed by any aspect of the visit. Highly recommend the Lamb chops...they're incredible! An ideal place for a celebration or a romantic dinner for two...an absolutely outstanding dining experience! Pros: Amazing steaks & shop, convenient parking, great bar more

Wildfire is right! 9/22/2003

I've eaten at Wildfire approx 10 times. Excellent chopped salad! Food is very good. Prices ok. Service and table proximity --- yikes! Every time we have a reservation; every time we still have to wait -- up to 20 minutes. The wait staff has a tough time serving the food, because the tables are way too close together. Also negative is the speed with which they try to remove your plates and get you out the door! We took a group Friday and it was ludicrous: if you hadn't taken a bite of food for 10 seconds one of the assistant wait staff was trying to remove your plate -- whether finished or not. FOUR TIMES in less than 10 minutes they tried to grab the same person's plate who was not finished. It was very irritating. Although the food is good, this kind of treatment ruined our dinner. Pros: Food, Decor Cons: Service, Reserv. but waited more

The Best of The Best in the Twin Cities 7/30/2003

Wildfire is literally one of the best unknown restaurants throughout all of the twin cities. It serves the perfect dining experience. Everyone of the staff is very pleasant and helpful. The couple of times that my wife, friends, and I have dined at Wildfire were some of the best expereinces in any restaurants throughout the country. The drinks, from the martinis to the amazing wine list, were the perfect compliments to the outstanding menu. The fine selection of steaks, amazing seafood, huge salads and sinful desserts make the meal complete in every way. The servers are great, but there is one server that we have enjoyed a couple of times. Trevor is the complete package when it comes to servers, he has excellent knowledge of the menu and drinks, plus his personality makes the experience one of kind. Thanks Wildfire. Pros: Servers, Food and Beverages, Overall Experience Cons: Hostess', Busy Times more

Best Steak in Town 6/27/2003

I've eaten at all of the top steak houses in town: Morton's, Ruth Chris, Manny's, but nothing compares to WildFire's steaks. Their Blue Cheese crusted steak is unbelievable!! If you don't have reservations, the wait is a bit long and the food is a little on the spendy side, but it is well worth it!! Pros: Great Steaks, Great Dessert Cons: Crowded, Expensive more

Went on recommendation of friend.. 6/8/2003

My boyfriend and I went last year just after it opened and were very disappointed...we waited for a table that we had a reservation for. We had a booth that sat higher that the dinning room floor did, needless to say I was a bit uncomfortable wearing a skirt in the dinning room floors eye line. The food was in large portions but did have any good flavor to it. The atmosphere WAS GREAT. The way the resturant is decorated was in the swanky, art deco with dark woods and palms. If you do go CHECK OUT THE BATHROOMS!!! more

Enjoyable & Masculine 1/26/2003

Great food and bar area. Service very good. Good attention. Good portion size. Great steak. Good atmosphere. Booths. Make reservation. Pros: Service, Steaks, Bar more

Bad Service! 1/2/2003

Wildfire is a pretty good looking place. The atmosphere/deco is comparable to Rudolf's BBQ. I am not too happy with their services though. My husband and I were seated promptly but our server ignored us for a very long time(a good 15 minutes). Plus, the place was not busy. My husband and I watched as other tables who were seated after us were helped first. We were about to just leave but my husband made eye contact with the manager who immediately informed the servers. Our server's lousy excuse for not helping us was because she did not ""see us"". Food is pretty good..a little pricey though. I paid 11 bucks for my salad. Pros: Nice ambience/deco, Pretty good food Cons: Bad Service, Unattentive servers, Pricey more

great food 12/16/2002

we went as a group of 8 and had a great time! I loved the fillet and the scallops were awesome!! Dessert menu could have been better. Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Fun Cons: crowded, dessert more

Must try this! 11/7/2002

This restaurant is phenominal. The steaks are melt in your mouth tender, and the menu options are great. Service is mediocre, but the food outweighs this! more

Great Place 10/22/2002

This was an execellnt place to eat. I was skeptical when I saw it was attached to a mall. However, the staff was very professional and informed and the food was very good. Would go back again. Pros: Great wait staff, Food was great more
