Great food without the fuss 10/15/2002

This place is the answer to those who want to eat great food, but don't want to act ""stuffy."" Not to say this place isn't nice; it is, but in a sort of retro-kitschy kind of way. There's just enough tongue-in-cheek about the whole thing to set you at ease and convince you that steaks and martinis really were the best answer, all along. Unlike many steak houses, though, the non-red-meats get their full share of attention. The ""tuna burger"" was so wonderful, I ordered a second to take home for family. Desserts, as always and everywhere, were oversized, and I can't comment on them. They did offer three different fresh fruit offerings, which was nice. Not a hitch in the service, although I was there for lunch, and it wasn't busy. Nonsmokers may dislike walking through the bar/ lounge to be seated. Pros: great food, attitude Cons: smoking near entry more

Classy for the mall 9/30/2002

I was surprised when I stepped inside. Very upscale, for being attached to the mall. The filet mignon was excellent. Try sipping a couple of their specialty martinis--the chocolate banana one is my fave. Pros: food, liquor Cons: service, expensive more

Now THIS is going out for dinner! 9/19/2002

Wildfire has fabulous atmosphere, fantastic food and the kind of service that makes you feel like a VIP. We've been there numerous times and it is always difficult to choose between the steaks and seafood. The Halibut and Ahi Tuna melt in your mouth and the Filets and Ribeye are out-of-this world. The servers always guide you through the menu and are great about making suggestions on wine and food. The portions are big, too, so I guarantee you will leave full and very happy after a night at Wildfire. Not inexpensive, but money well spent. Make reservations. Pros: Great Food, Knowlegable Staff, Excellent Service Cons: Busy - reservations! more

warm gin 9/4/2002

Manny's prices but poor bar and service. For prices like these you shouldn't get a warm martini and have to flag down your waiter when you want something. The saving grace were the excellent steaks. My wife and I had a gift certificate for $50 off, which meant we only spent about $60 out of pocket. We got our money's worth...barely. Pros: steaks, decor Cons: service, portions, bar more

Great food at just the right price 8/9/2002

Everything was great. The steak was the best I've ever had. The bar was a little noisy which worried me at first, but once we got to our table it was nice a quite. Good Job Wildfire! Pros: Next to Mall, Movie theater close more

Just Sinfully Great 8/5/2002

This restaurant has the best of everything. Great food, Great staff. I have eaten at many restaurant in my time and have research many to eat at. I am glad, out of all the ones I looked at I choose this one! I choose this one off the net looking at menus and sites. How lucky can one person get? Pros: Service, Parking, food Cons: Crowded, Expensive more

Finally a great place in Eden Prairie 7/30/2002

Wildfire is just what Eden Prairie needed. Finally a great restaurant to go with EP's growing community. I highly recommend any of the steaks, espcially the Blue Cheese Crusted Fillet. Wine selection is good and the martini's are very tasty. Pros: Great steaks, Great service Cons: Pricey (but worth it) more

LOVED IT! 7/29/2002

I loved the atmosphere of this place it was done up so beautifully with the 40's and 50's themes throughout. I was seated promptly and the food was nothing short of divine. Dessert was excellent. The staff was prompt and courteous. Pros: Decorations, People Watching Cons: Great Parking more

Belongs in a Mall 7/25/2002

I have seen this restaurant formula about a squillion times. Wildfire does a decent job of making it look different, but if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it is likely Lettuce Entertain You. I'll take my money and clients to Manny's, thanks. It is, however, the best mall steakhouse in the cities. more

WANNA BE 6/3/2002

I thought the drinks and food were good and the staff seemed at your beck and call, but if your going to call yourself a Steak place and try and charge Morton and Manny's prices, you better give Morton and Manny's portions. The side dishes seemed very small for the price and the prime rib seemed to have more fat that meat. The $8.95 added on for getting shrimp with your steak would have been more enjoyable if there would have been more than three. Overall I would go back, but not for steak. Pros: Free Parking, Fast Service, Courteous Wait Staff Cons: side dish portions, small booths, need more side dishes more

Fantastic Ahi Tuna at Wildfire!!! 6/2/2002

The Ahi Tuna was amazing as was the Porterhouse. The mashed potatoes were just right and the sauces used were just enough to be flavorful, but not intrusive. I had yet to find a place that made a good apple martini here in the Twin Cities and Wildfire has it down pat! If I weren't so full, I would have had dessert too, which looked wonderful! I will say that they have WAY too many tables in there. The servers were tripping all over each other to get around. I don't think you need the image of being greedy when you are a high end restaurant. Get rid of some of the tables so the people dining have some privacy and aren't getting elbowed by busboys and hosts on the way by. We had a great server though... I wish I remembered her name. I definately recommend Wildfire. Pros: Wonderful Food, Amazing Apple Martini, Friendly Service Cons: Too Many Tables more

Taste... 5/31/2002

I went their to try things out, result disappoint. Services are OK, but the food are ... I order special of the day -- walleye burger, the walleye end up with lightly burn, poorly breaded, which cause the walleye stick with the breading. The buns are over tosted, the tomato are warm which mean the cook put all the things on before the walleye finish cooking. more

  • With the lively spirit of a 1940s supper club and a menu that defines ?American comfort food,? Wildfire has become an American favorite. Wood-fired ovens and spit roasters add a special flavor to the fresh, top-quality meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables, while a broad range of cocktails and wines ? several available in multi-glass tasting ?flights? ? add to the delight.

Specialties include fish and steaks prepared with a variety of tasty crusts ranging from macadamia nuts to horseradish; prime ribs of beef, barbecued baby back ribs, fabulous salads, and a range of exceptional sandwiches are the regular fare. They?re supplemented with nightly and seasonal specials in every menu category. Giant baked, double-baked, and barbecue-rubbed sweet potatoes, creamed spinach, and other sides add to the pleasure.

Wildfire?s desserts are special, too, with great individual and full-size pies, ice-cream and pudding creations, and fresh-fruit-based treats.
