I would give it 5 stars but there was this douchebag who worked there. He didn't know how to draw at all, he was very impatient, and he was simply a jerk. I asked him to draw an animal and he was the worse artist ever, I kept thinking "Really?? but.. you're a tattoo artist" so I quickly drew something that I wanted it to look like more.. but he STILL drew hideously. He kept getting frustrated and blamed ME for being indecisive.. I just wanted to tell him "I know what I want, you just f-ing suck at drawing!"... So I went back the next week and drew my own tattoo. Kareem is amazing! He's the owner and has been for a really long time, I believe. If you want a tattoo from anyone, the other guys are pretty nice but since I don't remember the douchebag's name, just ask for Kareem! He's so nice and really great! more

I'm 49 and this is my FIRST Tattoo. My father died last November and couldn?t think of any better way to express the loss of my best friend and father than to have his badge put on my left arm so it can be seen while cruzing in the car or riding the bike. To honor his service to others and his father in heaven. Kareem did a FANTASTIC job. I get all kinds of complements. The detail Kareem did, well, unbelievable. If you get a chance to go by the shop ask to see the template hanging in the GREEN room. Kareem has it hanging on the wall. My daughter got a cross and roses with his badge number put on her left shoulder by Chelsea. She did a beautiful job. This crew has a lot of artistic talent. Clean shop professional atmosphere. I HIGHLY recommend this shop to all. If I get another I will go no place else. Pros: professional atmosphere and a lot of artistic talent. I was lucky to get a walk in appointment and Kareem did a great job drawing up my tattoo and giving his artistic opinion on placement, angle etc. It is the favorite of my 4 tattoos. I have a whole sleeve from this place the work is amazing and the level of art that comes out of this place is 5 star hands down. Clean, sterile, helpful :) I strongly recommend going in this place. I just got my first tattoo here. Couldnt have asked for a better expierience and job done. Mike did awesome on the lettering (my whole tattoo consisted of words in cursive). Turned out exactly how I wanted. Not only is the art right on, the whole enviroment and vibes given off is great. They made me feel like they cared more about making sure your happy and getting it exaclty right, then just getting your money, which is how it should be. 100% will be going back for future tattoos && highly recommended . more

I hate when you walk into a tattoo shop and you feel so awkward because no one acknowledges that you are there, and if they do it seems like an inconvenience to them. But not at Newport Tattoo! Not only is the staff friendly but they are fun and make the tattooing experience very comfortable. Not to mention the art that these guys/girls can produce is nothing short of spectacular! This the definitely the spot to go if you want a tattoo that you won't regret. All of the artists there are extremely talented and welcoming. They offer their professional advice (which is always great) and the overall environment of the shop makes you feel super comfortable. The shop is very clean and nothing about this place is the least bit sketchy (as opposed to other shops). Also, the prices are super affordable. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Newport Tattoo. My cousin and I were driving through the rain when we passed by this tattoo parlor and I decided that I wanted to get my nose pierced right then and there. We got in and looked totally out of place but the guys were nice and asked us how they can help. So we told them I wanted a nose piercing and I filled out a form and waited a few minutes for them to get the instruments ready. I got in and the professional (DAMN I FORGOT HIS NAME!!) told me to relax, explained the process for me, all while thoroughly sterilizing everything. The price was totally worth it ($45). :) Pros: nice people, professionals, CLEAN Cons: ... none really more

Kareem hooked up all of my family and my friends that I sent to him. I had a great time every time I was here for a tattoo or just stopped by to say hello if I was in the area, I always get good advice and the people here go out of there way to make sure you are taken care of. I would recommend anyone comes here instead of somewhere else. There tattoos are top rate. more

I recently visited Newport Tattoo, and was very impressed with the cleanliness and hygiene of this facility. The staff were very professional and explained how all utensils used in tattooing were sanitized or not used again and discarded. The staff are also very friendly and courteous. They are able to create your own personalized tattoo, and are very talented artists. The prices are very reasonable. I enjoyed my experience there and love my new tattoo! Newport Tattoo is my very favorite tattoo parlor. I have a few tattoos and I must say I've had bad experiences with the ones before. So I knew for this tattoo I wanted to research where I went and to find a place that I wouldn't regret later. Dude was I glad I chose Newport Tattoo! First we called for directions because we got lost. Whoever answered the phone was so helpful, gave us EXTREMELY detailed directions, and was super polite. Then the second we walked in the door all the guys were so helpful, nice, funny, and HOT. We told the guys what we wanted and they soon started helping us out. The guys took great care of us and the tattoos turned out amazing. I have gotten more compliments on this tattoo than any of my others. The pricing was also fabulous and reasonable. I would highly recommend [and have] Newport Tattoo to anybody, you can trust my opinion ;). I'm going back soon to get my next tattoo and I'm taking all my girlfriends that want theirs done too. Ask for Mikey he was INCREDiBLE! If he can't do it then Kareem did my best friends and hers turned out fantastic as well.
