Terrible Experience 2/13/2012

I brought my wife and another couple to dinner on a Friday night. After waiting 45 minutes after we ordered our food, one meal was cold, another seamed like it had been microwaved. The other meals I would say were just OK. About halfway through the meal, my friend's wife said Oh my God, I think I just saw a rat or a large mouse run across the floor. A guy named Tito or Tino which I believe is the owner offered us free desert at the end. He wouldn't budge on adjusting the bill. After 45 minutes we didn't want to wait for another dish, or stay for desert! I would never go back there and neither will my friends. more

ANOTHER PERFECT PARTY AT VIVA LA PASTA 7/7/2011

From the first party we held at Viva, Simi, six years ago, to the many dinners we have had there for the past near decade, and to the most recent event held on their lovely patio, this is without a doubt our favorite restaurant. Grandma Milie's 90th birthday with nearly 70 people attending couldn't have been done this well anywhere else. Of course we know the food is great as we have never had a meal that wasn't delicious, but serving nearly 70 people and no complaints is remarkable. Everything was absolutely delicious, generously served with the guests choice of entre's including pasta and veggies, salad, coffee and desert. Pippo, Tino and Teresa all did everything they could to help make this a fabulous birthday for our beautiful energetic mother. Mom wants me to say that she has had remarks of the wonderful food, from guests from as far North as Seattle, South from San Diego, East from Michigan and West from Monterey. She is so pleased with how much attention the staff gave her party. The servers, waiters, bus persons all were outstanding as we have experienced in the pass and expected. more

Lost my business forever 6/21/2011

Two week before my daughters shower (booked 2 months) was yelled at in the restaurant by the ownwer saying he would not accommodate. It was very embarrassing. Never been treated so poorly before especially by a fellow Italiano. They had alot of my business and that of friends/family. Never again. Ciscos in TO saved the day though. Some of the nicest folks you could meet. Treating us like royalty. Bye Bye Lino more

Wow! What a Place...Wish all restaurants where like this. 3/6/2010

This restaurant earns your money and your respect. Finally, I go to a restaurant where I want to pay the wait staff their 20% and I enjoy the food so much--quality, portions, taste--that I order one To-Go! I had the veal shank with mushroom sauce risotto and it was delicious. The wine is chilled nicely, the tables are CLEAN, silverware is CLEAN and all the waiters have a pleasant smile and demeanor. It's just great. Worth your money. Pros: Waiters are outstanding and food is incredibly TASTY! Cons: Only 2 locations - 45 miles away from city of L.A more

delish! 7/29/2007

Viva La Pasta is my favorite restaurant in all of this area. It is a cute and personal family owned Italian place with great food and good prices. My favorite is # 74, the Tango salad which is a great sized salad with a huge piece of salmon on it. The flavors are amazing and the best part is that it's only $9! Cheesecake Factory has a similar dish, along with several other restaurants around here that START at $14.50! Viva has a large wine selection and it's so much fun to order a bottle..or bring in your own and sit on the patio with all your friends enjoying your meal. They have tonnnns of pasta dishes, appetizers, fish, chicken and a lot of great specials. The specials come with a ton of food and the dessert at the end is one of the best parts. They have AMAZING canoli's, tiramasu (mmm), spimoni ice cream and delicious espresso ice cream with coffee bean chunks inside. I honestly go here about 3 times a month for #74 but I never have been here for the Champagne Brunch on Sundays and I really need to try it! Pros: menu selection, prices, setting more

Italian done right :) 10/25/2005

I dine there very often with friends and family, getting rave reviews every time. No other Italian restaurant in the area offers the kind of selection available at Viva - HUGE menu. Excellent calamari fritti, extensive wine selection, great pasta (over 400 variations) and a beautiful outdoor patio make Viva one of the best-kept secrets in the Conejo Valley. Be sure to try their decadent vanilla creme brulee and their fabulous Champagne and Lobster Brunch on Sundays. Pros: Parking, reasonably priced, great service Cons: Crowded on weekends more
