After calling their office with my problem (of having the cap come off- another dentist had done that work), Dr. Vallar's office went out of their way to schedule me so I could go...

Worst

Went in for an extraction, after his office staff told me he could do the extraction. I was over charged and had to get the tooth removed by a different dentist

Excellent Dentist 6/25/2011

I can give only the highest rating to Dr. Villar. He is an absolute perfectionist, but is also personable, kind, caring, gentle, and attentive to how I am feeling during a procedure. I have been going to him for 12 years, ever since I moved to Santa Clarita. (He was recommended to me by my real estate agent.) The staff is also excellent, and I agree with others that there is no long wait for an appointment. I also love the water bottles, and I don't think they pay for them by charging for missed appointments! For absolutely the highest quality and up-to-date care, I have never been disappointed in Dr. Villar. I trust him completely. more

Although Dorsley had some discomfort after his proceedure and had to skip football practice. He was relieved to have completed the work that he was scheduled for. He is thankful to Dr. Villar and his staff for always being so nice and caring. He has a new outlook on his oral hygiene and plans to only come back to the office for routine cleanings :-). My dr's appointment 6/15/2011

I Had a wonderful experience. Terry is very patient, knowledgeable and a very sweet person. She did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. I am very pleased and happy that she is the one taking care of me. more

Gum Grafting Procedure 6/15/2011

As always, I was very pleased with the quality and skill of Dr. Villar's work. He was very warm, observant and patient during the procedure. I have never had a bad experience during any procedure I have had. The staff is wonderful, caring and warm. They make you feel like family. Keep up the good work. more

Dr. Alexander Villar 6/14/2011

I had a gap between 2 teeth where food was always getting stuck, increasing my chances for getting a cavity there. Dr. Villar said he could build up the side of one of the teeth so that wouldn't happen anymore. The process was quick and relatively painless. He and his staff are both personable and professional. He actually remembers things I've told him in the past, like where I work and the names of my husband and sons, and even what they are doing. more

Great Service--High Prices 6/14/2011

Dr. Villar delivers great service and the office assistants are very kind. They even offer special, beautifully bottled water personalized with the dentist office name and details. A luxury item for sure... However, our first concern was the $80 fee if you must cancel an appointment less than 48 hours ahead of time. We have 3 children and if, for example, they got the flu or other illness less than 48 hours ahead of time, we would have to pay the $80 fee. Of course there are other emergencies or times we might miss the appointment for simply forgetting--no excuses there. And sure enough, one day it happened. We understand they have to cover themselves, but there are many other dentists in this valley that DO NOT demand this $80 charge. (I'm guessing they use it to purchase the water bottles.) At any rate, we have decided to try another dentist. more

Dr. Villar 6/3/2011

Dr. Villar keeps up on the latest dentistry techniques, and is always looking for ways to give me the most I can get out of my insurance. On my recent visit, for example, my hygienist noticed that 2 teeth have just enough of a gap that food probably gets caught in them, which I confirmed was a problem. Dr. Villar offered to fix that problem, and assured me that my insurance would cover it. I love that about him! more

Cleaning 6/3/2011

I hate going to get my teeth cleaned however the office makes sure that you feel comfortable. I love that there is no waiting for your appointment. My teeth are very sensitive and the dental hygienist was very gentle. Dr. Villar is very detailed in his assessment. I have been to a few dentists in Santa Clarita in the past 15 years and Dr. Villar and his staff are one of the best! more

Dr. Villar consistently provides me with the highest quality of care and with a high degree of knowledge and professionalism. He has always successfully corrected any dental problem I have had without pain or complications. Due to the excellent care and education provided by Dr. Villar and his great staff, I have noticed an improvement in my oral health. I can say without hesitation that Dr. Villar is the best dentist I have ever been to. I thank God I have found him, especially after the horrible and problematic experience I had with my last dentist. Thank you Dr. Villar and staff! more

My dental hygienist was so kind and sweet. She had several tips and hints to make my home care more effective. She and the Doctor took the time to explain everything and obviously wanted me to be comfortable in every way. more

Excellence 5/24/2011

Dr. Villar, and his staff are THE BEST. I started going to Dr. Villar 14 years ago. I have never enjoyed dentist visits, therefore I hadn't been to one for over 12 years prior to seeing Dr. Villar. Yes, I needed quite a lot of dental work, and Dr. Villar was gentle and caring. This Doctor LOVES what he does, and it shows in his excellent work and wonderful staff. I HIGHLY recommend Alexander Villar DDS! more

My family and I have been going to Dr Villar for over 5 years. The cleanings are always thorough and painless. I was very pleased with the work he did on a broken tooth. He is not pushy about selling extra services. Everyone in the office is always friendly and professional. The atmosphere is immaculate and the rooms have a view. more
