When looking for a haircut, I try to get with someone who knows Asian hair styles because, let's be honest, we tend to look young. Grace is great with chic haircuts. She knows how to work with your face shape to create stylish, clean hair cuts. I have pretty thick hair, and she was great at making light, layered hair cuts depending on the season. I prefer shorter cuts in the summer and longer in the winter, and no matter what length, they always turn out really nice. I definitely would recommend her for anyone. She listens to the things you want and gives good advice on what might look nice along with your request. more

As I am approaching my mid 60's but not feeling like I am a senior, I was tired of coloring my hair every 2 weeks to hide the grays. Looked up colorist on the web and found My Bella Color. I had an initial consultation with Sharon but then had to coordinate schedules. At my appointment, we discussed again what I wanted (highlights in a way to disguise my gray growing in). It is an arduous process as first we took out my previous color and then used 3 colors to blend highlights and I did get a full head of foils. But..it is so worth it, I look great and I feel great (Sharon threw in a trim so my hair looked fabulous). The price might seem a little high but if my hair looks great who cares, I can shop at the Good Will. There is a chance I will never need to color again and then I will just go back for a haircut. Trust me, just allow Sharon to weave her magic and you will be delighted! The rest of the staff, Grace, Tonia and Shi (sp?) all are courteous and nice as well. So Baby Boomers, you can still look hot! more

My wife goes to a salon every 10 years. She is a business owner and should look stylish. I talk her into going to a City Search top rated salon with 76 positive (4 to 5 stars) reviews. You reviewers must be friends because my wife left there looking worse than when she went in. She wanted her hair colored because of the gray hair and they left her whole face area surrounded by gray hair. The rest of the hair looked good but they told her to come back to get the rest done. I go to SuperCuts and for $45.00 I get a cut, color and tip and I look great. If they can do it what is Bellas' problem?! My wife has a business seminar next week end and can't go back to get it touched up. It's this seminar that she was getting her hair done. She is crying thanks to Bella Color Hair Salon. To let someone walk out of your business with that name and those results??? SHAME SHAME SHAME more

I'd like to consider myself a very picky person when it comes to my hairstylists. When I find the right one, I am very loyal to them and I love to refer a great stylist. I was referred to Grace by a friend of my who spoke very highly of her. I've loved my friend's hair for as long as she's gone to Grace. I decided to finally try her after my own hairstylist gave me one of the worst layers ever. Grace fixed my hair and I saw that her haircut was the best cut I have ever had. You can definitely count on Grace to give you exactly what You Want, She listens to you and makes the outcome even better than you expected. She is definitely an artist and a perfectionist that will never get too comfortable and will always give her 120%. more

First of all, Sharon's salon is just beautiful. She takes pride it making it a relaxing and comfortable place to go, as well as a place that you can see the stylists take pride in. It really is an artists' studio, and her artists are excellent. I've been going to Grace to get my hair done for about 5 years now. Before her I jumped around all the time because either the stylist wouldn't really listen and I'd get something that they could do, not what I wanted.....or the cut wasn't consistent. Grace is different, she really listens. I feel like she cares that I really get what I want. She offers suggestions and shows me examples and I've always been really happy with my cuts. As a guy it is very important for me to be able to get up and go with little or no styling. My hair is difficult to style and this makes Grace's job extra difficult. She handles it with ease and makes my life easy. This is the best. I wake up, and getting ready it takes less than 30 seconds for me to do my hair...and it's exactly the way I want it. I LOVE IT!! I have been going to Grace for the last four (4) years to get my haircut and color. Before I used to go Super Cut but I really don't like how they cut my hair. Sometimes they will cut it too short of my expectation or sometimes the sideburns do not level with each other. So I prefer to to go to Grace because the very first time she did my hair, I like it very much so I keep on seeing her to do my hair. I expect her to do the same job over and over again. more

Grace Illasco of My Bella Color Studio in Burbank is hands down the best! I have been to salons all over the valley and L.A. and nobody comes close to the quality of service she and the salon provide. I recently got the Brazilian keratin treatment and my hair has never felt so healthy and looked so good. I am constantly getting compliments on it. If you are looking to grow out your hair or need to repair some damage, I HIGHLY recommend getting the Brazilian keratin treatment by Grace. She is also great with color and haircuts! Always takes her time with you and makes sure that you are 100% satisfied with the outcome. The salon she works at, My Bella Color Studio, is amazing too! July 10, 2010 Joan E. I’ve always struggled with my curly hair that tends to frizz. And at 58 years old, my hair was dry and somewhat damaged because I’ve always done my own color treatments. I’m at that point in life where I want to simplify things, so I decided to go to the well-reviewed My Bella Color Studios to have my long hair professionally colored and cut short. But then I met Grace. Grace is a lovely young woman, very easy to be with, and a professional dedicated to her craft. She told me my hair would benefit from getting a Brazilian Blowout, something she is certified to do. I had read a little about the process before, but the price gave me pause. While watching Grace color my hair with the intensity and skill of a true artist, I knew she would be the right stylist to give me the Blowout. She is very thorough and clearly wants whoever sits in her chair to leave looking their absolute best. The Blowout procedure takes time, but I think Grace works as fast and efficiently as a trained stylist can. After the coloring followed by the Blowout, she cut my hair shoulder-length, rinsed and re-dried it to see for herself that the process worked as it should. I like the results very much. Grace painted warm highlights throughout my hair and the color looks bright and natural. Now I wake up in the morning, do a quick comb out, and my hair falls into place where it stays all day. When I wash my hair, it requires only a rough blow-dry to look as good as I did when I left the salon. It’s the easiest-to-care-for hair you can imagine: smooth and shiny, healthy, young-looking hair. My husband insists I look years younger. If you want a look that lasts at least 3 months and helps restore hair to better health, as it is said to do, I say an enthusiastic yes to the Brazilian Blowout. The savings in time alone--time formerly spent fussing with my hair--makes the investment worthwhile. My journey to getting a great haircut begins here....My Cali friend came to visit me in AZ and she had a not so great haircut. About a month later we met up again and her hair had been completely transformed. It looked amazing! So of course I asked her who had fixed it for her and she said, "Sharon from My Bella Color Hair Studio in Burbank." I was in desperate need of a haircut. I had long hair and wanted to cut it short but was nervous about having anyone cut it for me. That's when my friend told me she was coming to AZ for a short vacation. I couldn't believe it! I got a hold of Sharon via my friend and begged her to cut my hair! Not only did she say yes she gave me the best cut of my life. She also found a ton of nasty wax build-up in my hair which was the reason why my hair was always flat and impossible to style. Who knows how long it had been there but not one other stylist had informed me of my problem. Thanks Sharon, I love my hair and so does my husband! I am not the type to write a review, or give my opinions freely. I am also not satisfied with having "nice" hair. I have come to appreciate that if I want "amazing" hair the only place I need to go is My Bella Color Studio. I have tried other salons and have had some seriously disastrous results. Sharon and Paula have rescued me from these situations and my hair has always looked exactly how I have envisioned and better. They are friendly, unpretentious and most importantly professional. You want your hair to look amazing...My Bella Color Studio. IMHO Pros: Amazing stylists, affordable, mellow environment Cons: none more

When I found this place I was so very excited but..... after 3 hours of this women, playing with my hair. I walked out looking like a hyena. She put strips in my hair on the sides, told me it would all blend together, it got worst from there. The operator I had was acting as through she knew what she was doing. She did not. The owner looked over a few times at me but, never offered any help. This is the worst place in the San Fernando valley. Pros: none Cons: inexperienced more

I chose this salon based on the overwhelming positive reviews. I was so excited to get my hair done here. I didn't have an overly complicated look I was trying to accomplish. I had long hair that I wanted to cut short & layered and my hair colored lighter. I expected to walk out of the salon loving my hair. But the cut was average and the ONE overall color wasn't even what I asked for. And I paid an arm and a leg for such a simple request. The only good thing I can say about the experience was the customer service. The stylist was very nice and accommodating. Pros: Great customer service Cons: OVERPRICED!!! more

Sharon is AMAZING!!!!!! I love this place! I had been searching for a long time for a place i could trust after seeing the reviews i decided to give it a shot. I called and got an appointment right away .The place is AWESOME! with beautiful art on the walls and a chilled back vibe comfy chairs i got really lucky Sharon is" increibly talented"i was really comfortable with her after meeting her she is very nolegable.She is the best! i got exactly what i wanted my hair looks good! I went into My Bella with a mess, And Paula ... bless her heart, foiled every single ratted discoloured strand of hair on my head, and made me look natural again. She took time to explain EVERYTHING that she was going to do to fix me. And really focused on the hair, and not $$$. I was the only client in the chair. Paula even blowdried my hair out until it was completely smooth, and did not pull out any sort of hot-tool! I really respect her for that The last experience I had (elswhere) I was double booked, and sat for SEVEN hours, while my hair litterally melted off! I had a really bad red hair color dye job and Sharon squeezed me in picked through my hair tediously getting red out. She got most of the red out and I love my hair color! I can't wait to go back to her so she can cut my hair too! She really did do a fantastic job! She listened to what I wanted and she was creative in fixing my hair! more

I have had my hair colored red by quite a few stylist in the last few years but a recent move to the west coast left me with no clue who to go to. I was refereed to Kim by a co-worker who had been the week before. She took time to consult with me and find out what I wanted from color and a cut. The color was the best I have ever gotten and the cut equally great. Kim is a true artist that took her time and knows her craft! I will be telling everyone I know and going back to her! You're hair is in great hands with Sharon. I have difficult hair. It's down to my waist and grabs color differenty on top and in front then the rest of my head. To make matters worse, I also have a lot of baby hairs in front. I went to Sharon after a bad brassy highlight job. My hair was uneven and blue in some areas from a toner the previous salon girl put on my hair. My hair is naturally light brown and I had wanted naturally looking blonde highlights. I went to Sharon and she spent hours picking through the brassy and blue color. She gave me the prettiest, and super tiny, most naturally looking baby blonde I have ever gotten. Every other colorist has given me a strawberry blonde that I have always just settled with. But Sharon listened to me and matched the exact color I had showed her. She has a fantastic eye for color and is patient when discussing the colors that she will create and blend into your hair. No matter if I want my hair light for the summer or dark for the winter, Sharon always fulfills my request making sure my hair remains beautiful, long and healthy.
