I have been to a lot of tanning salons over the years and Taylor Jays has always remained my favorite. They have a no pressure philosophy unlike many other salons in the area. I love being able to show up tan and not be bothered to by more tans or lotion. The salon is kept very clean and there is always fun stuff to look at in the lobby. The staff is very nice and friendly. I love Taylor Jays and recommend it to everyone. more

I have been a customer of Taylor Jay's for years, it is by far the best tanning salon I've ever gone to. The salon is always clean, both lobby and rooms and the bathroom is spotless. The prices are good, there are always good specials being offered. And the best feature is the owner and staff. It is always a pleasure to go there, there is absolutely no pressure to buy at all. If you are going to tan and live in the area, I highly recommend this salon. more

Taylor Jays was a great place for me to tan when I lived in Washington. I am sooo sad now because I live in Texas and have yet to find a place like Taylor Jays! The staff is pleasant, beds are clean, manager is awesome and always willing to work with you to make a deal! Also, at other tanning salons I got rashesand had an experience where someone had worn hot lotion before me and obviously the bed wasnt clean and ended up burning bad.. At Taylor Jays I have NEVER had any of that happen... seeing as I watched them clean my bed before I tanned! I would tan here again If I am ever in Washington and YOU should too! :) more

the Salon is clean, the girls are wonderful, in a convenient easy access location. the prices are right along with the other salons, the lotions are pricy, I bought a bottle there for $78 and was told the owner doesn't mark them up, well I think they do when I as a indivudual could go online and purchase the very same product in the same size for only 28.95, yes it was the same as I bought it online to make sure it was the same. I wonder how often taylor jays changes there bulbs in the regular beds as they don't seem to be as hot as other salons. when i first started tanning there (almost a year ago) they were much hotter and gave you alot more color, the last several months i have noticed on each of the regular beds they just aren't what they used to be. I tan at another place in Puyallup in regular beds and there bulbs are amazing and the color you get in 1 tan compared to what I get at TJ's is night and day difference. I feel I have to tan more often at TJ's to get the same out of 1 tan at other places. change your bulbs CHER! I know you push your other beds but you need to maintain the regular one's too, alot of people use the regular beds so I know they need changed, I wonder if they have ever been changed in the year since I've been going. Like I said you don't even start to feel the heat until the last 2 minutes of a 20 minute tan. I would like to hear comments back from Taylor Jays when she has last changed her bulbs and post bulb changes like other tanning salons do. I've never seen a sign or heard at TJ's that hey we have new bulbs just so you know. I love everything else about TJ's everything it's wonderful there so please change your bulbs I don't want to have to take my business elsewhere. I asked 2night when i went to tan when was the last time the bulbs were changed in rooms 1 2 3 and 4 (regular beds) the girl said I don't really know if they have. WHAT! more

I usually tan at chain salons for convenience because they are everywhere, but when one closed it's doors over night. I decided to try a smaller locally owned salon. Contrary to the below ""customerexpert"" review, my experience was and has been amazing! I've been tanning there for about a year now and plan to be a lifer! First off the girls always remember my name! Very personal! Secondly I saw color after my first visit in one of there facial tanning beds and I love the option of being able to turn off the facial lamps! I've also used there stand-up Diva bed and love the way it takes away the tan lines on my sides! Third they continue to help me with all my product selections and guarantee that if I do not like a product after just 2 or 3 uses that they will take it back and get me into another product....what? I've never had a tanning salon take back a product after it's been used if I don't like it...this makes it so easy to try new products! Also..on the opposite end of the below review...I come to Taylor Jay's about 2 to 3 times a week and I've heard 3 different radio stations played...one of my favorites in fact is 92.5!!!!! Last but not least this salon is extremely CLEAN! I constantly see the girls cleaning...and this may be beacuse unlike many other salons there is no TV for them to watch! I recommend Taylor Jay's to anyone that wants the complete tanning package, comfortable, color, clean and certified staff! I was attracted by the location and easy-going atmosphere. The staff are friendly and very helpful. However, after indoor tanning for more than 20 years, I was incredibly disappointed with the apparent lack of maintenance and misuse of tanning terminology. Taylor Jay's tanning is a great experiance. The girls are certified in all the tanning knowledge and very friendly when helping you pick out a tanning package and lotion. The salon is clean....the bathroom is amazing...they provide facial wash, hair spray, gel..ect....to get ready for the rest of your day...impressive! Salons are so high pressure these days....not this one...it's very relaxing!!! more
